Actually, I am denying it. I mean, I guess it's possible, but it definitely isn't common as far as I can tell.

I personally don't know anyone who talks like that, and would actively avoid anyone who did... and so would most people I know. I refuse to believe that the world is so full of neanderthals and assholes that this is in any way defensible as acceptable behavior.

Sure the comments aren't related to policy, but Trump is so delusional about what being the president involves and so completely ridiculously childish in his big plans to be the boss of America that all he really has going for him is his personality. A lot of people already know that it's shit, but now it can't be denied by anyone.

I honestly think that 80% of the people on this board would make a better president. I know children who could do a better job, because at least they know that you catch more flies with honey. If he actually stood a chance of being elected, then about a year after he won people would realize just how little he knows about reality. His own party would do their best to muzzle him and make him the most impotent, powerless president in American history and he would probably quit midterm after realizing he actually has to work with others to get things done.

I get that people hate the establishment, but Trump is worse than the establishment. He is a pig, a clueless idiot, and a national embarrassment. He has exposed just how stupid/easily misled Americans can be-- and my faith in democracy has been shaken by his candidacy. Unless this is some conspiracy to get Hillary a guaranteed win by running her against the most ridiculously unfit candidate in the history of American politics, it is essentially signalling to the rest of the world that America has completely lost the plot. The only possible reason to vote for this guy is if you're so cynical about the electoral system/politics in general that you want to see it all come crashing down... otherwise, you're objectively stupid.

I'm all for having an anti-establishment candidate, but this guy is not worthy of anyone's respect. Seriously, just admit he's an abomination, be patient and wait for the next one... it is altogether possible to have a right-wing candidate that is intelligent, capable and not part of the establishment. He or she is out there right now, you just have to believe.

But for the love of God, let America and the rest of the world forget this disgusting creature as quickly as possible so we can never mention his name again and forget 2016 ever happened.

Let's keep in mind that all of us have, for years, seen politicians promise one thing at election time and do something else after the back room meetings. Both sides are equally guilty. This year, the republican voters told the republican political hierarchy no more. They cast aside all of the professional politicians. Sure, they found an imperfect vessel. But, on the other hand, the party of Occupy Wall Steet against the 1 percenters have nominated a card carrying unabashed 1 percenter. It's a shame and it shows that they want power more than they want to fix the system. My personal choice is the flawed vessel rather than the status quo with back room deals that only enrich the 1 percent. Frankly, that's too bad. I've much more sympathy for the occupiers now then when they were being dicks in public. But, it seems they've all gone away now anyway.
