I have a big Tom Cat that I named "Bubba" because when we moved here from New Hampshire I figured he needed a "Southern" name.
I got him from a pound in New Hampshire 2 days before they were going to put him down.
All the other cats were pacing around in their cages, not him, he was lying on his back with his front paws stretched out way above his head like he was sitting on a recliner watching t.v.
He's sitting on the couch now watching t.v. as a matter of fact!
He likes chocolate and climbs up into bed with me at night to snuggle.
Sometimes he'll be running in the condo here and hit the smooth kitchen floor and crash into the wall.
He's a real fighter too! I let him out some nights and 5 minutes later he's into it with another Tom Cat! He's strong as hell too! I hold him by the tail sometimes and he just pulls right away from me!
Nice to have pets!
What kind of pets do you have and what are their names?

The last pet I had was a Shar-Pei named Cain. but we had to put him down because his hips went out and his kidneys failed at 4 1/2 years old. He was the best dog I ever had and I still miss him and its been 10 years.

I have a Beagle named Oscar - he is 8 years old and quite the little chubster (which is my fault, plus Beagles have slow metabolisms). He is so sweet and so playful, and so smart.

I also have a Lab mix named Rufus, who is four years old. He is quite active, and is always trying to get Oscar to play more. Oscar is pretty tranquil and serene (as Beagles can be much of the time), and wants to mostly nap and just hang out, but does play with Rufus, on his own terms.

I got two dogs so they would not be lonely and would have eachother to play with.
But Oscar came first. I got them both from the Humane Society here. They are spoiled, but not in an obnoxious way. They truly are like my children, I think I  would just die if anyone hurt them.

I have the best dog in the entire world! Her name is Jasmyn and she is a whippet with some red nose pit bull in her. She never barks and is more an oversized lap dog. She loves to cuddle and is very happy and laid back. The Owner got her for me from the humane society and I love her to death.

I have a big, rangy tabby cat named Niles who is as friendly and cuddly as you could hope a cat to be (he's more like a dog), and a kitty named Kitty (named that before I got her) who likes things her way, so we don't get along perfectly.  She's been on a walkabout for a week, and I'm wondering if she'll be back.

I got Niles because I though Kitty might be lonely when I was out of the house for days (when I was working as a midwife).  Hah!  She finally got used to him after 4 1/2 years.  He loves chasing her around and sneaking up on her and spoiling her rest when she lays basking in a ray of sunlight.

I have a wheaten terrier named Mackenzie, but we just call her Mac.  We also have a grey tabby cat named Smellator (my husband is responsible for the name, not me!), though we usually just call her Smelly and, when we take her to the vet, she goes by Shelly

I've had Zeus for about four years now.  He's an Akbash Dog...a big livestock guardian dog I rescued after looking for one for a year.  They're an ancient Turkish breed (Pyrs come from them) developed to run off wolves and bears and lions.  I got him when I bought 40 acres off grid and lived in a cabin in the woods.  I've watched him refuse to let a double-tagged bear come into the meadow in front of the place, all by himself!  He's about 30" at the shoulder and the most Domly dog I've ever known.  Sweet as they come, but independent as hell! ("If you wanted the damn ball, why did you throw it away?  ...get it yourself!")  He comes inside to 'allow' ya to pet him; he'll stand there for half an hour, not looking at ya, not licking ya...just allowing you to serve and honor him with attention.  And don't quit before he's ready, or he pokes ya with his big ol' nose.

Master has three birds, one He donated to the local school for the handicapped children, He goes to visit him every week or so....i think He misses him.. the other two are loaned out to His friends every so once in a while....He must do this, as every so once in a while He must travel for His work.

I have a 7 year old grey female cat named Mikayla. She was adopted from an ex-boyfriend. He had to move out of his apartment and couldn't take her with him so he asked if I'd take her. I couldn't very well say no. At first, her attitude was "Well, you feed me and pet me so I guess you'll do". Now she's my buddy and my alarm clock. She hates it when I leave for work. I work 2 jobs so she's home alone a lot.

Now we have a black, very fluffy kitten named Oscar. I just adopted him this morning and was named after one of my favorite authors, Oscar Wilde.  He's 8 weeks old and very affectionate.  He's sitting on my left shoulder as I type this.  Mikayla isn't too thrilled yet, but I think she'll adjust well.  Basically, I got a cat for my cat. =)

I have two kitties

OpreyGirl: a two year old black kitty with mystical green eyes and determined personality.

KizzKizz: a greyish tiger with white mittons and white flashing on her chest.
She is a stray that showed up on my doorstep 5 weeks after I had to put down my 19 year old Tweed E Boy. We don't have many strays in this area, so in my mind she was sent to me by Tweed E Boy. < flakey thought?, maybe, but not to me.>

Not flakey at all!  A sweet thought and perhaps right on.
