Hmm. I've never come across that particular kind of a response before. Odd behaviour. She could think you're someone from the past with a new nickname; she could believe there's some detail of her profile that you've ignored; she could be findom who you've not recognised as such ... there could be all kinds of possibilities. John, my own policy, for what it's worth, is not to invest too much into an initial approach. For me, that first message to someone is like saying 'hello' to a woman at the bar or at a bus-stop: friendly, show you're intelligent, show you see something interesting about her (beyond her sexiness, that is), raise hat, then leave it at that. All in a couple of sentences.
