ORIGINAL: Wayward5oul No, it is not hypocritical or double-standards. Trump is trying to put himself in a position to impose his ideologies on an entire nation. Something Islam is trying to do, impose their ideology on any country they migrate to. And encouraged by their leader Muhammad. However true this statement may or may not be, it has nothing to do with my right to protest against anything Trump says or does, and it has nothing to do with you telling me that I don't have the right to do so. So the next time you have the urge to sit over there in Singapore and criticize Americans for exercising their rights as citizens of the U.S., just shut the hell up. As a citizen and registered voter, my thoughts regarding Trump and Clinton are immediately relevant, and acting upon them is my responsibility as a citizen. I realize that you do not have the same freedom of speech in your own country, and perhaps you try and compensate for that by spending an inordinate amount of time and energy criticizing events in other countries. I get that. But while you may voice your own opinions regarding this election, as a non-citizen, they are insignificant and irrelevant. quote:
Something that, whether you want to admit it or not, the majority of voters in that nation are against. It is part of our political process and our duties as American citizens to form an opinion about his ideologies and act upon that. quote:
The truth of this is yet to be seen. That's what you think. But we will know by the popular vote results IF indeed majority does prefer Hillary. So let's wait till after elections to see if this is true. I have no need to wait until after the election. I am going out on a limb here, but I think it is a pretty sturdy limb, in saying that Trump has already lost, many Republicans have resigned themselves to that fact, professional betting organizations are already paying off bets placed on the election, newspapers that have endorsed Republican candidates since their inception have crossed party lines to endorse Clinton, almost every poll has Clinton in the lead (some by double digits), some going so far as saying there could be a potential landslide, I could go on and on...hell, even Trump himself is laying the groundwork for a loss with his rigging accusations and his Trump TV actions. Even his political director has abandoned the campaign. And it doesn't sound like Trump and his campaign manager even communicate anymore. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/10/24/is-donald-trump-off-message-or-is-his-campaign-manager/ quote:
My best friend who is American that is supporting Hillary, and feels that Trump would be an embarrassment to his country, told me, his whole family in the US, relatives and all are split right to the middle. Half of them voting for Trump and half voting for Hillary. I asked him why are his cousins voting for Trump? They believe Hillary is getting away with her crimes, and find it unjust and refuse to vote for her. The degree to which you rely on anecdotal evidence as evidence is mind-boggling.
