"dickhead??"

with that post im kinda moving him over to the vile critter parts and Thompson troll category...

What did you expect when your only offering were two long-dead dictators and I was referring to democracy??

And just exactly how would you have that democracy without the US? It didn't seem like England was doing so well without us.

you dont seriously think that a so called democracy is incapable of operating precisely as a dictatorship?

If the people are sheep, like in the UK.

the so called founders would be rolling over in their graves if they could see how apathetic people are that they even consider voting in a criminal to run the country.

tamaka, what you just wrote there is similar to my last post from cooke's book.

freedom---being that the article tamaka posted was not bounded by time, and indeed hearkened back to the past, I expected you either recognize that to start, or to pick up on it by what I said, or at the very least, to have clarification with civility.

Hmmm, I agree with Thompson.
And I also agree that we shouldn't be the world's fire, rescue service, police, or banker.

Oh good, someone else who liked this tune:

In a Big Country

I thought those guys were a bunch of Scots, though.

Oh wait, perhaps you meant the theme to a USA movie?

Like this one?

Your ambiguous reference there just another instance of you Brits trying to mess with our heads yet again, no doubt.

And while we're at it, another instance of rubbing it in our noses when that Brit band Flock of Seagulls came out with that song And Iran, just when we were in the thick of it and selling guns to them in reward for holding the hostages until Reagan got elected.

Witness:

And Iran

Cruel and heartless, that one was.

Provided materials to the Brits early on,

Absolutely true

went ashore on June 6th 1944 with the Brits and Canadians to push back the Nazis on the western front, and eventually occupied part of Germany.

Against old men, cripples and children. While the russians killed more germans in front of moscow before amerika was even in the war than amerika did durring the whole war.

In the Pacific pushed the Japs back from the Philippines and thwarted their threat against Australia and New Zealand before eventually occupying Japan.

Largest battle of the pacific was okinawa which pitted the tenth u.s. army comprised of 4 army and 3 marine divisions roughly a quarter of a million men against about 100,000 japanese defenders.
When one considers the russians put 1.5 million men against 1.2 million japanese defenders. Leading to a quarter of a million dead japs and more than 600,000 captured and actually landed on the islands of japan. All of this in less than two months. More dead and captured japs in less than two months than the anglo-amerikan alliance did in 4 years. it would appear that the russians did the heavy lifting against the japs as well as the germans.

And don't forget that on D-Day we took the toughest beaches, there was a mainline German division at Omaha practicing for the landing of allied troops, and twice as many troops and half of them were first class troops instead of garrison troops. The troops at Utah were dumped nearly a mile away from where they were supposed to be worse terrain but the Germans didn't expect anyone there.

No you did not. Omaha was the only contested beach utah was a walk on. The britts on the other hand did the heavy lifting on d day.

there was a mainline German division at Omaha practicing for the landing of allied troops,

All of the main line german troops were on the eastern front getting their asses handed to them by the russians. Instead of watching the history channel and taking night classes at the university of dumb ass try reading eisenhowers book "crusade in europe" or churchill's 6 volume tome "world war 2".

and and the troops at Utah were dumped nearly a mile away from where they were supposed to be worse terrain but the Germans didn't expect anyone there.

A walk on....what was the body bag count? Less than two dozen.
