Really, so when students study at University, they should accept the consequences that they might hear ideas that conflict with their special snowflake view of themselves.

Hm. I could be biased, but I don't particularly see this, discounting those things to do with "don't mess with someone else's mojo/women". The conduct is applicable to all genders in the spirit of the actual codes.
I find that difficult to believe given that implies men being territorial and effectively holding ownership of women.

If you examine the assumptions underlying "gentlemanly" behaviour, you find they're effectively catering to women with the man posited as servant. Especially these days where coverture laws no longer exist except as a watered down expectation of financial responsibility on the part of the male.
