I think feminism and PC in general is worse in places like America and Europe. However, the PC virus is spreading fast through our systems and we will become just as bad in the near future.

Totalitarian feminazis like tweakabelle will want us all in shock collars.

I have lived in a number of places around this ball of mud and chose Australia as a great place to finally settle down. I'm glad I didn't meet a miserable, whingeing, moaning semi-human piece of garbage like rm, while I was here on my travels or I would probably have chosen some place like Zimbabwe or Sierra Leone in preference.
I am a naturalised Australian, which in my opinion, probably makes me more of an Australian than rm claims to be. I chose to come here and be an Australian. It was not an accident of birth like him, nor were my ancestors dragged out here kicking and screaming at the end of a ball and chain

I personally think that Australia is one of the best, if not THE best country for anybody to live in, no matter what floats their boat. The politicians are doing their best to fuck it up but they are doing that in every other country too and when did they do anything different ? The population moans and grumbles but no matter what you do, no matter who you vote for, a politician is going to get elected. Some of ours are better than some and worse than others. It's the same the world over.

Isn't it a fucking shame ?

and the poor that gets the blame.

Not exactly poet laureate material but meaningful all the same *smile*.

I got to agree.

Especially if ya hate snow and love sunshine. And love beautiful beaches and wonderful music scene and also have access to authentic Asia food that you can get at home. They got it all for me.

I kinda liked it, the people were friendly, the women were hot, and the beer was cold (unlike England) But that being said, I couldn't live there permanently. I like my seasonal changes, and cold Januarys.

Thanks greta............and strangely enough, I like Singapore too. I find the people there friendly and helpful and I always find something or somewhere new to explore or look at. There must be two Singapores too, because I can never seem to find the third-world version that the other brain-dead prat is always babbling about. Maybe he lives on the Disc-World too ? Or more likely an alternate universe.

Because the braindead was only in Singapore in the 1960's and that's all he remembered. Back then, we were probably as he described.

The only thing I prefer Singapore to Australia is that we have 24 hours everything everywhere. You want to shop for anything at 3am, there are places to go. You want to eat at 3am, food is plentiful! For a vampire like me, that's one of the things I really like about my country.

Everything closes so early in Australia. You really got to plan your time if you wanna get something. In Singapore, it's like, if I need anything at any time of the day, can be 4am in the morning I know a place that is open that I can get it.

The 60's ? Weren't the Brits still in charge of Singapore back then ? If so, small wonder parts of it appeared third world then to that refugee from a failed Frankenstein experiment. They never did very much to improve the lot of the poorer parts of the local population, no matter which country they had invaded/stolen.

I agree with you about the 24 hour thing too greta but Australia is slowly getting there. There are places in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra that are now open 24 hours of the day. You have to remember that we have a much more spread-out population, so it is really not worth the retailers in many places opening for the 24 hour gig.Most of Queensland is still rushing madly into the 20th century though *smile*..............That may be why I like it. The pace of life is more laid back here. Where I was last weekend, the shops close on Saturday afternoon and don't open again until Monday *smile*

Actually, Singapore had autonomy since 1955 (except foreign affairs and defence) and became independent from the British around 59, I think? In the 60s it was initially part of the Malaya Federation, where it was treated as a second class people and shat on royally, before it went fully independent in 1965. So 60s Singapore is Malaysia's fault.
