amoretta, yeah I have a peve about people wearing stuff to small too.

Like one time this girl in the group home wore tops she busted out of subjecting every one to her wardrobe malfunctions now and then which wasn't sexy or cool.

MadameLinda -> RE: Pet Peeves! (7/24/2006 2:27:25 AM)

I just wanted to explain something to the people who were irritated by weird driving. ~I~ am a weird driver. I get a LOT of driving anxiety and sometimes feel the need to get in front of cars even if I know I am not going to go that fast so I don't miss an exit or something similar. I do this only in the slow lane and hope the person will just pass me. I also will occasionally find myself driving at different speeds because I don't own a car with cruise control, and my foot naturally relaxes.

I just wanted you to know I am not driving like that to piss you off or because I am stupid and oblivious, but just because I get anxiety and have an older model car. Sorry in advance. I hope your days go better and more pleasant knowing there is a method to the madness and its not personal.

gooddogbenji -> RE: Pet Peeves! (7/24/2006 4:32:09 AM)

I drive pretty weirdly, too.  For example, if there's any animal in front of me, and I get hungry, be prepared for me to swerve.  Mmmmmmmm....  Badger à la Squishe.

Yours,

benji

I don't think that's something people want to be reading at 6:30 in the morning. But then again, it's my own fault for reading it. So...... nevermind.

gooddogbenji -> RE: Pet Peeves! (7/24/2006 4:37:14 AM)

Hell, reading it is nothing!  I had to write it!

add screaming kids that go up and down the isle and the parents do nothing

Agreed. Add to that --the stores place all the glittery junk and candy in the check out isle on purpose---kid starts to do the "Gimme, gimme"... you say, "No...NO and NO!" over and over..kid screams because kid wants immediate gratification[&:]

When I was called "Mommy" I put my child in Time Out...right there in the store. Now that my child calls me "Mom" ( stressed with the teenage eyeroll included), I say, "Sure, you want that? Pay for it...."[:D]

G'morning all:

benji, that's why I posted it here. It's a pet peeve. Try finding any meaningful topics in the appropriate columns, under any heading, and see what you find. I gave up trying to initiate thought provoking stimuli because it dies out after 2 or 3 pages. Most people simply aren't attracted to mental exercises.

I'll add 2 more pet peeves. People that have nothing better to do with their lives than to rack up posts here in short periods of time. Do they ever leave their homes? Mon Dieu.

Folks that have little or no real time experience other than chat or forums expounding on subjects as if they were authorities on BDSM. *eye roll*

Stay safe, play nice, & share your toys w/ others...

G'morning all:

In answer to this poster; you'd be amazed just how ignorant some smokers truly are of their own choices. Mainly because they choose to remain blind. I'm not advocating that smokers be tossed out of establishments that cater to them, but rather they exercise some self control, courtesy and a degree of civility when around non smokers. Their right to their vice stops exactly where the rights of the non smoker begins.

If you want to find places that will allow your vice, whether exclusively or in particular zones of the establishment, then do your research. Browse the internet, use the telephone directory, skim tourist brochures, neighborhood flyers, etc.

Hangovers ... why do we have them?

Benji ... he proposed, I read it with my own eyes. Why don't I have a ring yet. At least send me a case of SKYY to drown my sorrow ... since you clearly ditched me.

Valium ... we should chicks get as much as we want. So many men want to put us back in the happy home to be a W.I.F.E. (wash, iron, fuck, etc ... ) ... so break out the little happy pills already. Losers.

Oh and Gauge ... when you have a headache, try the banana hammock Euro briefs.[;)]

LaDee -> RE: Pet Peeves! (7/24/2006 6:46:00 AM)

My pet peeves :  1. People who can NOT take no for an answer.
                          2. People that keep changing username(s) after being put on ignore.

Tamerofwild1s -> RE: Pet Peeves! (7/24/2006 7:48:30 AM)

pet peeves:

being called an asshole or "JACKASS"
having my rights as a smoker violated since the forefathers were smoking when they wrote something about FREEDOM
people who complain about what other people say ... you don't like it don't read it or listen to it . walk away
people who pull out in front of me and I mean right in front of me then decide to slam their own brakes as I'm screaching behind them and decide to flip on a turn signal to go another direction ....
ugly men who wear shirts saying no fat chicks allowed ...... are ya kidding me dude
women who chastize me cause I'll yell in the middle of a big chicks lingeree store that big chicks need love too ..... are you telling me they don't <head scratch>

ok I'll think of more but these are the tops of the peeves list

WhiteRadiance -> RE: Pet Peeves! (7/24/2006 7:59:08 AM)

Here are a few of my pet peeves:
1. Hummers and SUV's with environmental tags.
2. Smokers who bitch about litter then throw cig butts everywhere.
3. Co-workers who take off every other day to help Jr. with something and expect me to do their job.
4. Stinky ass perfume that gives me a headache.

gooddogbenji -> RE: Pet Peeves! (7/24/2006 8:40:43 AM)

caitlyn,

I sent you a case of Skyy along with the ring.  I assumed you'd want to drown out the sorrow of accepting, not of being ditched, but whatever.  It should all get there any day.

Oh, and by the way, it's COD.....

Yours,

benji

2 or 3 pages is 40 to 60 responses.  That aint bad!  The thread praising my grandness died before page 2.

I mean, either you get people agreeing, which is boring after 10 posts, or you get people disagreeing, which will turn into a flame war by page 3.  Or it gets hijacked by a terrorist puppy.

I do that. But surprise surprise, I work, have a social life, and still find time to be a petulant ass on here.

Hey, MasterofU6969 said that the best experience is online, because it takes imagination.  Are you really gonna argue with a Master of you, with 2 69s in his name?

Making an ass of themselves and attempting to do so to another

GddssBella -> RE: Pet Peeves! (7/24/2006 8:57:28 AM)

G'morning all:

benji, when it comes to dissent making for lively debate, I whole heartedly agree. Keeps the topic lively. But, as you stated, they usually devolve into flame wars.

Now, as to the other points? We'll just have to agree to disagree, even if I like your wacko sense of humor. *pats puppy on the head* Thank you for the morning chuckle. I'm off to hop the drops before I head off to work.

I assume that you don't realize that learning is all about assumptions?

If I put my hand on the hot stove 5 times, and burn myself 5 times, I assume that at the 6th attempt, I will burn myself again.

In other words, your pet peeve is people with unburned hands.

Therefore, I assume it means you are jealous of people with nicer hands.

Why do you have an inferiourity complex?

Yours,

benji

Well, at least one person who understands tongue in cheek!  I always just think people are mumbling away.  (See earlier post about tongue in cheek)

Yours,

benji
