I have a major fisking psychotic hatred for people who feel sorry for themselves all of the time.
People do spend way to much time feeling sorry for themselves, instead of finding things to do and people to spend time with.
Is it really so damn hard to ask someone if they would like to go for coffee? No, it is not. What is the worst that could happen? They say "NO." Well, SO FREAKING BE IT! Go to the damn coffee shop by yourself, get yourself a cuppa coffee and sit down, and lo and behold, you will likely meet someone there.
And if you do not? Well, you did get a cup pf coffee out of the whole thing, so life cannot be that bad. And before I hear about how you, "Don't like coffee." Give me a break, those places sell other things! Tea, juices, chai, soda, italian sodas, pastries, etc. Just pick something.
And who knows, if you make it a habit, others might notice you and decide to open a dialogue.
Let me ask you people, when you walk down the street, do you smile at people? When you are driving do you wave at other drivers and pedistrians? Do you compliment people's dogs? Or do you instead, walk around with a pissed off look on your face, staring at the concrete four feet in front of your feet?
I like to meet new people. I like to talk to people. I am also an introvert. So I make a choice, to be open, pleasent, and willing to take a chance. Ya know what, it works really well. I have also made sure that my listening skills are effective, and that I have topics that I can and will discuss.
All you have to do is to be willing to strike up a conversation. Yes, there is the possibily that the person will not want to talk to you. SO BE IT! Move on. Who knows what is going on with them. But if you are open and friendly and make it damn plain that you do indeed like people, it is unlikely that they will tell you to Fuck Off! And if they do, so what? Just say have a nice day, and move along.
Step away from the computer and stop the cry-baby attitude of "Nobody likes me, everybody hates me." Because really. . . if that is your attitude, than please oh PLEASE go eat your damn worms. Nobody wants to hear it.
The people on this forum are supportive. They care. But it gets fucking wearing to always hear that you are having a bad day, and never a good one.
Sure, I post complaints. . . this is the complaint thread, after all. . . but I do not expect to be taken so seriously about them.
Life is good.
Try having a really tough life. . . .like not being able to afford a place to live or your computer that you are so co-dependent on. How about not being able to walk, or not being able to see? There is always someone worse off than you.
This is not to say that there is nothing that you can do to improve your life, but for gawds sake, do NOT KEEP BITCHING ABOUT IT AFTER PEOPLE HAVE REPEATEDLY GIVEN YOU THE SAME ADVISE.
In the army, when people did the same things over and over that did not work. . . we called that military stupidity. I do not know what it is called in civillian life. . . but it is obviously not an effective action! Choose another. Give it at least two tries. If it still does not work. . . choose another. . . and continue until you do find something that works.
But trust me. . . bitching, whining, moaning, complaing, and being an eight year old cry-baby has not worked so far, it will not work, so just give it a freaking rest. Find something to be happy about. . . even if it is something small. Wow, I saw a pretty flower today. Wow, can you believe that LaMalinche actually posted sappy poetry? That is so funny.
