For months, I've been saying that I didn't believe the American people were dumb enough to vote this clown into office. I now have to admit that I was wrong. (Mark your calendar.)
I know I'm not the greatest political mind that crosses these boards. However, in my opinion, this was the worst presidential campaign this country has ever seen where our two political parties put up the worst nominees that they could have come up with, and most reasonable people should be wondering how we have let this process become so BAD that it's actually come to this.
How many people really wanted either of these two in office?
You literally had a choice between a sexist, racist jerk, who has NEVER stood behind the American worker vs a potential Commander in Chief who would have been sitting in Leavenworth if any member of the military had done what she did.
The whole thing makes a person want to yack.
As many have pointed out, if they hadn't rigged the primaries, we would've had President Bernie Sanders by now.
There's a lot of DNC shills trying to claim the opposite, but the fact remains that Sanders crushed Trump in every match-up. And people can whine about the popular vote, but Hillary Clinton lost state after state, including those which were supposed to be part of her 'firewall'.
It's also time that people started accepting that MSNBC, CNN and the plethora of left-leaning media including the Washington Post are every bit as bad as Fox News in their partisan, dishonest approach to reporting.
The real problem - as displayed by the leftists in this forum - is that the Democrats haven't learned their lesson. They are still trying to blame extraneous factors. Let me make this clear. Trump didn't win this election, the Democrats lost it.
The arrogant, dismissive, lecturing tone of leftists who run around calling people misogynists and racists simply isn't going to fly. You can't hope to get elected by appealing to minorities and telling the vast majority of the country what pieces of shit they are. The anti-male, anti-white, anti-heterosexual, anti-Christian, anti-Capitalist mantra - of what is fundamentally a bunch of cock-eyed pseudo-socialist bastard children of Marx - is working against them. People are pretty sick of the left's policies of social control and their "thought police" style approach to social issues.
