There is no immigration clause in the Constitution. Our state likes Mexican immigrants. They do jobs like picking crops no one else is willing to do. There would be some support in this state if ALL immigration was banned. The H1B Visa program makes it very hard for recent college graduates to find jobs in Silicon Valley...

Do you think that's because brown people lack the cognitive skills that whites have, which are required to do construction jobs or go into sales, do factory work, or even wait tables?

How racist are you.

No, quite the contrary. The value of hard work seems to be instilled in the Mexican people at cultural level. Working class white people are generally a bunch of slackers that blame all their problems on others. It's not surprising no one wants to hire them.

Welcome to the Dungeon, dipshit Motty.

You apparently missed this part: "no one else is willing to do." It's not that "browns" can't do something (unless they are from Cleveland, but that's a totally different story), bu that they are willing to do whatever is available to make it here. It's actually quite an example of hard work getting you places.

It's almost as if they actually believe in the "American Dream" and are actively making it work. Whodathunkit?

But, to speak to bounty's point, the GOP is beholden to the Constitution probably only means they have to mention the Constitution, but not necessarily follow it.

no, although that might be the case in some instances, I essentially mean this as a starting place:
...
for the republicans, this is supposed to mean their thoughts/actions are grounded in the constitution, for democrats, this means leaving it behind in pursuit of utopia.

That was my point, bounty, it is supposed to mean their thoughts and actions are grounded in the Constitution. However, for most cases, it's little more than lip service. The only time the Constitution really matters to the GOP, is when they can use the Constitution to oppose the Democrats.

Excellent examples.
Any libtards thinking DJT cannot fuck states/cities almost at will is whistling past the graveyard.
Withhold highway funding from states giving driver's licenses to illegals? Check.
And the list will go on and on and on....
Sanctuary cities will be a thing of the past by July 4t

And the huge federal government in your bedroom nutsuckers show themselves as they really are. Again.

its all about the individualism and adherence to the constitution they say, but it obviously is nutsucker double speak.

Typical

You're right. It IS typical for you to ignore that it wasn't just the Republicans screwing up. Worse yet, it seems the Democrats that were screwing up knew they were screwing up and did it anyway.

Flint mayor said she hoped the line replacement would be finished in one year. That started in March of this year.

There was also an estimate of having all the pipes (not just the City's service pipes, but also the residential pipes) replaced could take up to 15 years.

I'm glad the State is still required to provide bottled water to those who do not have a (verified) working filter or who have decided to opt out.

I admit my focus was solely on laws passed on the Federal level. That was my error.

Of course you won't. Even though I admit my error, if you make a statement and get called out on it, shouldn't it be expected for you to back your statement up?

Nah. Of course not. That's only for those of us who don't agree with you.

~FR~

Heard an interesting piece where, in the face of state and federal gridlock, cities are stepping up to take matters into their own hands, which may make cities new power centers in the US.

Now that could turn certain "football" matches really ugly, couldn't it?
(Wasn't there talk of New York seceding from the Union as an independent city-state during the civil war?)

Cities also trend blue, even in red states.
