Nobody in the US seems give a flying fuck about elections in other countries. The only time we hear about it is when they go against the oil companie's wishes saying they were rigged and all that shit.

What happens when Putin dies ? What happened when Chavez died ? They had a pretty good country down there with Chavez and now he is gone. It has not gone so well after that. Putin has really turned over a new leaf and likes his country and wants what's best for it, but then he is in his seventies. He has his, as does Trump.

But when it comes to who is in power in Sweden or whatever, who is paying attention ? The reason nobody is paying attention is that none of these countries are armed well enough to do anything even if they wanted to.

Understand, Putin does not want war. Russia does not have a defense industry like we do always pushing for it, and is not going to attack Iran for the Jews. He knows them very well because he used to work for them. And he outsmarted them.

He loves his country and is never going to lose an election because the People are happy.

But the fact is, eventually he is gong to die. What happens then ?

They have elections there, as credible as ours, what if a staunch expansionist gets in ? See Putin is not. Crimea voted, the Russian soldiers in Ukraine are donating their time because the east of Ukraine is Russian and they probably actually have family there. (they should just go back to Russia but - whatever) and the Georgians ASKED Russia for help. Fuck Snooze doesn't tell you that.

Putin wants to be friends with Assad, there is nothing wrong with that after what the US did.

I believe Putin is a stabilising force in the middle east, or at least part of it. But really, this deserves some attention because that is the only country on Earth that can destroy the US. Trump sees that I hope, and has met with Putin. I hope the fucker doesn't say anything about Putin's hair, like offering him a free membership in Hair Club For Men or some shit.

Trump is backing off on alot of things. That is because he has been briefed on the aspect of those things that most of us never see. There are plenty of things he did not see, and like the wall, I happen to know they got tunnels. Not that they are going to let pregnant Women through them, (because they might talk and betray the cartel) but they will bring us our weed. I like cheap weed, it lasts longer and you get a buzz, but not too much. Same reason I drink beer, not booze.

But anyway, on the boards, even Usenet, all talk of elections have to do with US elections. They all seem to have an interest in this but we seem to have no interest in theirs.

Think about that.

The 2016 US election was possibly the most terrifying, trashiest reality show of all time.
And the winner got to be the leader of the free world.
How could anyone possibly look away???

Nobody in the US cares about international affairs.

For me, I enjoy keeping abreast of everything.

But this is an American dominated Forum, so nobody is interested in anything else it seems.

Leaving aside your habitual jewbashing, how the fuck have you worked that one out? If Putin doesn't want war, what is he doing in the Ukraine and Croatia?

It isn't always arms or firepower that could cripple the US, Termy.

The economics of either side is just as powerful as having weapons.
According to Europa.eu, Total US investment in the EU is three times higher than in all of Asia.
They also say: The European Union and the United States have the largest bilateral trade relationship and enjoy the most integrated economic relationship in the world.

So it's about time the US started taking notice of what happens in Europe.
With Marie Le Pen of the French National Front getting good support and Angela Merkel getting defeated in several areas of the country by the German AFD party, both contenders want to come out of the EU and both countries have elections next year.
The Belgians have also said they are wanting to leave the EU, as do Bulgaria and Lithuania.

It seems that Brexit has caused an Anti-Establishment uprising in several countries.
If any others succeed in leaving, Europe will only be a shadow of its former self.
That will impact quite dramatically on the economic front.
A country can be brought to its knees economically as well as militarily.

Think about that!!

Are you naive, Termy, or just being a "useful tool?"

Vote-rigging sparked big anti-government street protests after Russia's last parliamentary election in 2011.

In the system of "managed democracy" crafted by the Kremlin, it was unthinkable that President Putin's control of parliament would weaken, the BBC's Steve Rosenberg reports from Moscow.

Maybe he's one of those Soviet sleepers who was stranded in the 'States by the collapse of the Soviet Union and is having trouble hiding his glee that America has finally elected a president who'll be proud to be Putin's bitch rather than one of his enemies?

Now now, the media in the U.S. cannot report on politics and elections in other countries because that would spoil the myth that the U.S. is the greatest country in the world and everyone wants to move to the U.S. Yes, that malarkey gets pushed on television and radio.

If you travel enough you come to realize that different isn't better or worse it is just different. And it is possible to admire and enjoy traveling in another culture without wanting to make your home over in another pattern or wanting to force another culture to be a clone of your own.

I agree totally MercTech................It kinda reminds me of a cartoon in some magazine or other years ago where a guy turns to another in a hotel bar someplace and says " Excuse me, is the Paris Hilton, the London Hilton, or the Tel Aviv Hilton ?"

Leader of the free workld is a myth. First of all it ain't free. Bush said they hate our freedom and democracy, well if putting the Shah in power aganst the will of the Iranian people and then Saddam to counter the theocracy that mess created is our freedom and democracy, you would hate it too.

And I want to know how their suicide bombers are cowards while our guys up in plane being pushbutton heroes figures.

I do not believe the bullshit. Whe you go on a mission and KNOW you are going to die, this motherfucker who cut class even in the national guard or whatever has no business calling suicide bombers cowards.

What's more about like Palestiians using chioldren as human shields - that is ALL bullshit because the will shoot those kids without blinking an eye. They are not eve 3/5 human as far as the IDF is concerned.

I do not believe the lies.

Half of the Ukrainians want nothing to do with Europe. Whe what's is name was President (elected BTW) he saw the offers fro Russia and the EU for domination of the pipeline. The Russians offered alot more.

Croatia has been a mess for quite some time, Europe would never be strong enough to settle that shit down and they know it.

Crimea voted to go with Russia and I know your wittle candle holding heart that say AMERICA AMERICA AMERICA can't quite handle it but the fact is not everyone in the world loves America and Europe.

And like I said, the People in Georgia ASKED for help from the Russians. I know that was not reported o Fuck Snooze, look it up.

Things are not how they seem, turn off the fucking TV set.
