ORIGINAL: heavyblinker For anyone wondering what the 'alt-right' actually is, here is a guide written by 'America's #1 Most Trusted Republican News Source' (actually an apologetically nasty white supremacist site). http://www.dailystormer.com/a-normies-guide-to-the-alt-right/ I figured that the best way to understand who Trump's most ardent young supporters are is to hear them describe it. They call it a 'counter-culture' movement that of course aims to become the mainstream. It is described as being heavily dependent on the Internet, and encompasses: -Troll Culture (fucking up the system, bullying, being a jerk for kicks) -Conspiracy Theorism (Alex Jones, anti-government theories, etc.) -Libertarianism/Paleoconservatism (Ron Paul) -The 'Manosphere' (Pick up artists, anti-gays, anti-feminists and Men's Rights movements) -'Gamergate' (something about video games and women) -The Old White Nationalist Movement (Nazis, self-explanatory) -Identitarianism (American Nationalism similar to European Nationalism) So it seems like the alt-right aims to be a youth movement that is pretty much the total opposite of the hippie movement, and they want to make the 10s like the anti-60s. It sort of makes sense, really... kids are always looking for new ways to rebel. I just hope that it never really catches on... I won't read shit from a site like that, and I just want to point out, that the Founding Fathers would most likely self-identify as today's Libertarians. It's not an "alt-right" thing, and it includes fiscal conservatism with government leaving citizens alone, for the most part. Oh, and, identitarianism is not just an alt-right thing. The Democrats heavily rely on it, too. Adams wasn't a Statist, then?
