the remains of a fetus.

Which is a human being in the early stages of development.

The medical term is zygote, embryo or fetus(or foetus in the UK)
The legal term is fetus etc.
The emotional term is baby.
It is not born, it is not a guarantee that you will deliver a healthy child/baby.
Baby Definition....a very young child, especially one newly or recently born.
It has its own DNA, but it is inseparable from the woman. until its born

If we're going to quibble about terms rather than debate the issue of abortion, there's other emotive terms besides "baby" that could be used: "parasite" "infestation" and "tumour" spring to mind for a start.

I can look at a human being as nothing more than energy. If that's all it is i guess it doesn't really matter if it continues... or not.

Well, if nothing else, at least it keeps the number of accidents down. Women on the road are a fucking menace.

You do realize I can't take comments like this seriously until you learn to drive if the flipping snow.

When I was pregnant my doctor actually told me I had a parasite in my body. That was due to 40 weeks of all day sickness and weighing the same the day before I gave birth as I did before I got pregnant. Basically my body was being drained of everything it had to nurture the fetus. I left the hospital, between pregnancy and water weight, 50 pounds lighter and wearing clothes I hadn't worn since high school.

My line of thinking was a specific story relevant to something WM said, not a philosophical point, so no, nothing to continue with except what you want to.

Exactly... i wanted to... if you can look at your own unborn child as a parasite than certainy we can look at groups of people that drain us and don't give back anything the same way... refugees are one such group that came to mind. Certainly there are many others.

Good for you. but I ain't the one.

I never said that. That is you putting words in my mouth, but that's not the first time that you have done that, is it? I repeated to another poster what a medical professional stated to me, which was directly relevant to what was being discussed.

Well, I don't exactly see children as not giving back, but hey, to each their own.

Sorry, I have better things to do. But you have fun with that.

Yep. Some women even lose their teeth as well.

Well now embryos are fighting in court for the right to life. Imagine the repercussions if they win.
