I saw this humorous list of stereotypical subs and was wondering if there's any other types.

Top 7 subs.
1. Poor Me sub : This sub always has something going wrong in her life. Of course, it's never her fault, as she's always being played upon and victimized by others. If only she found the perfect Dom, her life would be problem free and forever-blissful.

2. Just Do Me sub : This sub just wants to be beaten. It doesn't really matter by who, or what, as long as she or he can feel the lash. Frequently misbehaving on purpose, this sub can drive a Dom crazy.

3. Barbie sub : This sub likes the way she looks in leather fashions. She's afraid of the whip and has never seen a clamp in her life.

4. He Hurt me sub : This sub, without any negotiations, talks of limits or safewords, rushes out to play with a Dom she met 2 days ago online. After letting him tie her up and whip her, she decides he's a menace to society and can't wait to tell all her sub friends he's a bad Dom.

5. I Just Need a Man sub : This sub, after exhausting all her meeting places, decides the D/s world would be a good place to meet a man. She really has no interest in D/s, but just needs someone to spend the rest of her life with. She's a close relative of Poor Me sub. Amazingly, when she gets her Dom, she suddenly loses interest in any type of sex.

6. No one can top me sub : This sub longs to submit, yet claims no Dom is strong enough to top her, so is really just a Domme in disguise.

7. The 'submission is the greatest gift I can give' submissive : This submissive has stars in her eyes and naivity in her heart. She swoons at the mere thought of any Dom, asking her to pass the salt.

She writes her Dom's name in the corner of her notebook with little hearts and flowers around it. She declares there's no better way to love than through submission and that D/s is a better and higher manner of loving, than anything a silly old vanilla person might do. She lives on an emotional roller-coaster.

Howz about just "sub" and that everyone is different with different needs and wants??

This is the problem with new people: always wanting to put labels on things and pigeon-hole people.

Most 'subs' come under the S.I.L.P heading.

Self indulgent little princesses who expect to be tied up so they can indulge their innate laziness and not have to do anything while some daft bugger performs like a trained seal to impress her with what a domly dom he is.

freedumbdwarf may be one of these.

I think you have 7. mixed up with the "In love with her own submission" sub.
"'Submission is the greatest gift I can give' sub" sounds better applied to the ones who think D-types should put them on a pedestal and be mindlessly grateful for the mere idea that they may be willing to consider submitting.

I don't find your list humorous in the least.

You didn't include the sub who sits at the side of his bed in ICU for days or weeks. You didn't include the sub who learns to give IV antibiotics because the Dom needs them. You didn't include those who have a loving relationship. I guess you'd think it's very humorous when a sub is giving medications and shots and helping bathe her dominant because he's too weak to do those things for himself. Really funny. Humorous. Yeah. Get a life.

I think that this is one way that people deal with some of challenges of finding a really great submissive. People use "humor" to combat the cynicism and bitterness that can some times come with having difficulty finding genuine and sincere people. People are not intending to make fun of people who are really great submissives. We are trying to deal with all the problems we deal with along the way.

Or possibly just complain that if they can't find a compatible sub, then there aren't any real subs out there?
I can definitely see peppermint's point.
(Also, the OP doesn't list the "stealth dom(me) sub", whose main interest in bdsm play is topping from the bottom...)

So rather than keep searching for the right fit you think people need to make fun of that very thing they seek. Sorry, that doesn't make much sense to me. That sounds more like a slave to me.

So, if you're not a masochist, you're not a sub?

BDSM and D/s are not the same thing.

BDSM is bondage/discipline/Sado-Masochism. It's essentially kink. You can engage in BDSM and not engage in D/s.

D/s is Dominance and submission. It's the power dynamic. You can engage in D/s and never engage in BDSM.

So, before poking fun at others, perhaps you should get yourself straight.

A few of these are more bottom or masochist oriented. But I don't think this was meant as an opinion or statement. It was probably a copy and paste of something the OP found amusing.

How about the rarely seen but often talked of "What The Fuck" sub? My understanding is that she often shows herself during times of intense internal conflict, usually in direct response to an order that causes the familiar "What the fuck?" response. It's said that the only indication of the presence of this sub is the faint whisper, under her breath, of "What...the...fuck?", usually accompanied by a suspected (but never proven) eye roll. Recovery is usually quick, sometimes painful, and is usually hastened by soothing words, a spanking, or the offering of food. Sightings of this sub are suspected to be woefully under-reported.

...so I've heard. :)

how about the sub that wants only to please their Domme/owner doing anything that will help them
i agree with peppermint i was with my owner at the car crash site i helped to extricate her to the flat board. i was by her side in the er was with her daily while in the hospital.
i helped her every day during her recovery bathing, toileting giving physical therapy the insurance would not cover.
there are subs that dont care much about labels but love their owners/dommes no matter what
