I just had a quick look at Professionals Australia [PDF]. According to them, The 2016 Professional Engineers Employment and Remuneration Survey found a pay differential between male and female respondents with female respondents reporting a median total package of $101,100, 24% lower than their male counterparts at $133,154. So... not AU$10,000 but more like AU$32,000!! Of course, RM doesn't see this bit because it's not male sexism. He's far too busy picking out the odd bits of male sexism that get reported and ignores the myriad of female sexism all over the globe. So even if the females are tempted with an extra AU$10k to stay in their jobs, they are still waay short on equality when it comes to salary. And, as usual, RM just sees the headlines that fit his personal tedious agenda... and bleats. ETA: his bleat is: "This doesn't get extended to single dads". Maybe because they are already earning $32k and more than their female counterparts?? Yeah, right. He didn't bring that inequality up at all - conveniently side-stepped it.
