FR Well that's a fine welcome folks. :-) Actually I thought from the title it meant something else. I was going to answer that the reason for all the negative politics is because of the politicians. Of the 60 million who voted for Trump, at least half of them were in the ABC crowd. Then there were the loyal republicans who were obviously on board with that. Then there were the rural people, some of them bigoted, but not all, who liked the talk of getting jobs back, as well as a few other things. The 60 million who voted for Clinton want more welfare and urban renewal and all kinds of social programs. Also a bunch of them have heath problems no doubt and fear the dismantling of the ACA, which means nothing unless they got a good job but then math escapes them. I have worked for liberals, in fact I think I do now. Pays cash of course, I prefer it anyway, but when it comes time to tally up my hours they have to use a calculator. Damn, it ain't that hard. I am pretty sure they are liberals because it is a gun free zone. In this state a business can forbid weapons under penalty of law. It used to be all bars were gun free zones whether they liked it or not but Castle Law Doctrine took care of that. There is negativity here because there are irreconcilable differences. This country is divided badly. Fragmented in fact. We all see it headed in the wrong direction but cannot agree on a course of action, even had we the power to implement it. I don't consider myself a modern conservative. One thing, abortion is murder, but it is necessary, animals eat their young if they cannot feed them or they don't smell right. It is preposterous to say that Women have less rights than animals. I do not have any religion in me though, not no mo. I have almost a prejudice against religious people. That means I am not anywhere near a traditional conservative. In fact I believe the republican party should make drastic changes, and Barry Goldwater said it pretty well. something to the effect that you can't let these religious people control the government because they think they are speaking for god and will not compromise, and government is all about compromise. And I am not a liberal either. I know that there are some aspects of this society that have to be at least semi-socialised. First of all you can't have people starving in the streets. Though they do. I had to let a guy use my address to get food stamps, if you are actually homeless and because you don't have a valid address you cannot get any aid, the system is broken. In Utah, a quite "conservative" state (probably moreso than the republican party) they decided to stop putting the homeless in jail and just give them apartments. You don't have to guard them, they don't want to leave. In the meantime they got an address and a phone number, get job counseling and so forth. And it costs less. Empty apartment buildings exist. It costs what, like $30,000 a year to house a prisoner, and then you have to let someone out who REALLY did something wrong. That's what math can do, save money and do some good. Unfortunately so few even think that way. T^T
