I guess the lesson here is that as long as you follow Fox News and random right-wing blogs exclusively, and label everything else liberal brainwashing, you'll feel good about the future.

And I guess the lesson, here is that you know sweet fuck-all about me. I watch Wolf and Madcow, every day. Nice try, but no mind reading certificate for you, today.

You're dismissed.

lemme chime in to say I find such statements about fox news incredibly idiotic because its clear from the people who make them, that they don't actually watch it.

It's more that I don't believe/trust it.

Again nothing I said makes this even marginally reasonable.
My view of Hillary (or Trump for that matter) has anything to do with Fox News.
It comes from watching Hillary for a quarter of a century and finding that she has no redeeming qualities.

At least none of their people said that a tingle ran down their leg when they listen to any candidate or claim that said candidate has never done anything wrong in his entire life like a MSNBC commentator did with Obama.

maletoytx -> RE: Surviving the next 4 turbulent and excruciating years (12/23/2016 5:40:29 PM)

How can all the libs keep whining about Trump who hasn't even taken office yet, after making the rest of us put up with 8 years of Obama ignoring the Constitution and the fact that we have three departments of government, not just the President. Plus the total disaster of Hillary as Secretary of State. Trump can't possibly do worse than those two.

Because all the right had to do was restrain their bigotry while the left is just telling the truth. (sarcasm font off)

Well for starters, we can hope that you're wrong. [:)]

It's not carved in stone, after all.

LOL, Faux Noise, people watch it occasionally, but it is factless felchgobbling and nobody can put up with that besides nutsucker felchgobblers for any length of time.

I hear a lot of bashing of Fox news but NOT ONE can give any specifics of poor journalism.
In fact, Fox news is the last vestige of solid journalism in the country. That's what pisses them off. The truth won't die no matter what bullshit they throw at it.
Unlike MSNBC, CBS, NBC and CNN that have ALL been caught LYING and even stated publicly that they have forgone journalistic integrity for "the common good".
It is clear that the left just can't handle the TRUTH. They don't even believe in the concept of truth. It doesn't exist to them.
That's why we are still hearing all the crying about how it is someone else's fault that hc got her ass beat.
Hacking? Well whoever did it, they did it with ,.....the TRUTH.
It is still fun listening to the crying though. Music to my ears!
Stupidity should hurt.

Too late. The US is already in the beginning stages of destruction through faction. Exactly what our founding fathers knew destroyed Greece and Rome yet failed to codify any prevention or what was...has been ignored even constitutionally.

The partisan prejudice is alive and well and will just get worse.

'We are going to have to find some ways to work out differences, and find many middle of the road solutions, or continue to become even more fractured.

Adversity often makes people/and situations stronger, the citizenry will either become stronger, build some bridges, and learn to work together for the good of ALL the citizens, or we will all suffer the consequences.

At some point, many of us, WILL have to realize, it is not always MY WAY, THEIR WAY or THE HIGHWAY--it often has to be OUR WAY.
Or again, we all will suffer the consequences.'

Will not happen. In fact I watch what's called the 'Washington Journal' on C-Span most every morning and it has become a comedy because of the unadulterated ignorance demonstrated by the callers.

Plus, none of the above was ever shown during the 8 of Obama years. The partisan bickering started day 1 and continued unabated.

Yes, it will be a tortured admin. for the country under Trump and the repubs and if 2008-16 were even a slight example and if Trump is and repubs are ere-elected. that will prove me correct.

The country will survive with the poor even poorer, the rich richer and the country on all levels...further in debt. Billion$ more will be thrown at the MIC, corp. welfare while most everything else will be cut. We will continue to have blandishments for the rich and austerity for the poor.

It is not as if everything was super wonderful BEFORE, the Donald was elected.

This country and the world, is already in chaos, as far as I can tell.
Fall back on your faith, if you have any.

I am not starting this thread to add to the partisan squabbles easily found on 99% of the other threads on here.

But, we all know its going to happen.

It is evident everywhere that the next 4 years in the United States are going to be politically turbulent and excruciating.

This country and the world is at a precipice.
We are going to have to find some ways to work out differences, and find many middle of the road solutions, or continue to become even more fractured.

Or again, we all will suffer the consequences.

United we will learn to stand, or divided we may fall.

In the end, I have to believe that MOST people despite having extreme differences of opinions, outlooks, and political beliefs want what is best for our country, our families, our children's futures, future generations, and this planet that we call Earth.
Right now, this is the only livable planet that we have to live on.

Hang on to your hat's the next 4 years are going to be the bumpiest, most turbulent political ride many of us have ever experienced, in our lifetime.
I hope for the sake of this country and this world/this planet that we can actually create bridges, instead of relentless discord.

Please save the partisan bitching and bickering for every other thread on here.
I would love to see some messages of hope if possible.

Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah/Happy Kwanzaa/Happy Boxing Day/Happy Holidays
Peace and Blessings to all

Unfortunately virtually every post so far has been proclamations of trying to stop anything Trump wants to do and reviving the slander of Reagan that he wanted to blow up the world and was so stupid that he would start WWIII the first time someone looked cross eyed at him. Fortunately the worst comes from Canadians so they can't do as much damage as Americans could.
Personally I don't think Trump will be that great (I voted more against Hillary than for him) but at least with him we have a chance of a decent president.
We can at least try. I detest Obama (purely based on his policies) but hoped it would work out for the country, never wanted him to die after getting rid of Biden. How about we give him a chance?

Actually that is where I was "sort of" going with this thread.
There are many, many, many people who are determined to not give him a chance.
I hated George Bush, and I tried hard to tolerate him and give him a chance.
It did not work well, but I tried.....he just kept pissing me off.
The point is..... I did try to stomach and accept him.
Many are not even willing to try to give the Donald any kind of chances.
*Trump has managed to offend and piss off so many people, PRIOR to being elected, that many do not appear to be willing, to TRY to give Trump a chance.*

This country seems to become more and more divided, and I don't see many on either side, attempting to bridge the divide.
Does the middle exist any more?

tamaka -> RE: Surviving the next 4 turbulent and excruciating years (12/23/2016 9:59:45 PM)

The left is so weak that it doesn't matter. They have no power. That's what happens when you're weak. You lose influence.

I'm pretty sure that after four years of Trump the "power" will jump back to the left again. Hopefully even sooner.

Because we have put up with so many, many years of nutsuckers ignoring the constitution, and the three departments of government are going to go full nutsucker. Plus the total disaster of the Reagan, and W administrations have been the worst in our history, and Trump is out to take that place.

Oh, bullshit, its the same old tired shit with nutsuckers, you keep asking for facts, and when they are presented, ad nauseam, you ignore them, and start all over again with your asswipe every day. Anyway, here are a few lies, not a compendium:
