Musicmystery -> Trump repeating actions he previously criticized Clinton for on range of issues (12/26/2016 6:47:23 PM)

Donald Trump spent the past two years attacking rival Hillary Clinton as crooked, corrupt, and weak.

But some of those attacks seem to have already slipped into the history books.

From installing Wall Street executives in his Cabinet to avoiding news conferences, the president-elect is adopting some of the same behaviour for which he criticized Clinton during their fiery presidential campaign.

I'm not surprised at all. I was hoping Trump would actually be less of a politician, but I didn't really think he would. With all the back-clapping and self-congratulating the GOP has done, and is doing, Trump may still end up being very bad for the party. Maybe it'll drive the GOP back to it's roots.

I'm not going to hold my breath on that one, either.

I feel the same but those who stick to or go back to their roots as you put it, will be...a small minority.

Pick one:

a) Even though Trump said a lot of things, everyone knows he didn't mean it so therefore this is okay
b) Trump won, Hillary lost LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
c) The media has a left-wing bias/it's all a lie
d)[sm=runaway.gif][sm=runaway.gif][sm=runaway.gif]
e) You liberals will never understand (insert blatantly obvious, incredibly stupid idea here)

You can use this for pretty much any discussion with Trump supporters.

Doesn't matter who President Trump chooses for what position, musical and his sock army will find some fringe alt left fake news site to bash the choice. If a choice has had success in life or has government experience, OMFG trump isnt draining the swamp. No experience, thats prophesied to be even worse.

Yeah, not surprised either, and I share your hopes for the GOP, but likewise lack any faith in them.

Then, it won't be the GOP doing so. And, hopefully, it will result in the GOP support ranks getting smaller.

Yeah, I am calling bullshit. "Installing executives" isn't scandalous, isn't in any way the kind of corruption we saw with team Hillary (thanks to Wikileaks, and no thanks to the mainstream media who covered up her scandals). And "skipping news conferences"?

WTF are you people on. Hillary only went on interviews and talk shows where she was fed tee-ball questions most likely emailed in advance, if Wikileaks taught us anything. She NEVER spoke with the media in any way that wasn't strictly in a controlled setting. Even had questions fed to her ahead of time for the debates

President elect Trump meets the media head on, bare knuckles. Still does, as he finds time. Speaks without a filter and lets things fall where they may

Right now he is putting a team together to lead the nation, so you will have to excuse him if he doesn't have time right now to take Hillary's cozy spot on "The View" or on Stephanopoulos' program (Hillarys' former employee, who now works at ABC).

What planet have you been on for the last two years, certainly not this one. This is all about trying to lay Hillary's' many massive defects at President elect trumps feet, and its ludicrous. Musical starts what, ten threads a day whining and crying about Trump? And look at his sources. KOS, VOX, aljazeerra, what is this one, some globe or another.

BS up to your chin and you are doing the butterfly in it

I expect Trump to have alot of teething problems at this stage. Hell he has never been in politics.
So Sorry, Let's not compare him to Hillary who is an experienced politician.
And Trump avoids the media now because they just gonna spin shit inaccurately. Instead, he tweets. So that people get first hand message. Let's all not compare it to Hillary who literally is so afraid to speak much in media because she is afraid she will say something wrong and screw up.

The whole Corrupt bit is subjective.

Eric Trump has to stop raising money for cancer children because the prize for biggest donations is dinner with Ivanka Trump and it's called corrupt. It's like so bullshit! Because they claim the ones who donate the most will win favours from Trump himself.

I mean if Hillary raised money for cancer patients and the prize is dinner with Bill Clinton. Nobody would blink an eye. I wouldn't even fault her for that.

Sorry Greta, but 'lets not compare him' is not a valid excuse, no matter how many times you say it.

He is no longer the under-dog candidate whose political errors seem endearing to those who are tired of seasoned politicians taking advantage of the system for their own gain.

He is now President-elect of the most powerful country on Earth. Or at least it was. Time for him to man up and stop acting like a child throwing tantrums on twitter. Political blunders when you actually hold office are no longer cute-they have consequences.

I'll have more patience for your excuses for him when he is your president and what he is doing is directly affecting your country.
