ORIGINAL: BamaD If I support killing I don't dance around it I say it. You want him dead because he might be a fascist but you lack the intestinal fortitude to say so. I don't know why you need me to say it so bluntly-- is it because you're just not good with subtlety? I want him to not be the President of The United States. If this could be accomplished without his death, I support that option first... but I don't think there are other options, so his death would be a great relief. He's old, so it could happen anyways... that would be ideal. Maybe the stress of the job could do it-- who knows? I don't want him to be shot or killed in a terrorist attack though... nothing that would lead to thoughts of revenge. It would ideally be natural causes-- stress, a fall, a heart attack, a clogged artery, cancer, meth overdose... something like that. It wouldn't have to be gruesome because it's not about wanting revenge-- I'm legitimately worried about the future of the planet, and one man's death seems like a small price to pay for avoiding what could easily turn into an absolute nightmare. I have already told you that it is very possible that I'm wrong about this, but just think of how easy Pence would have it if Trump were dead. Obviously there would be the usual conspiracy shite, but the mood among the left would be much improved and unity would be that much closer. Even W. would be a relief at this point-- obviously he was despised but there wasn't the same sense of things veering so dangerously out of control, or of him being anything other than another establishment neocon. Pence isn't wonderful but at the very least he has a degree of self-control and I was frankly impressed by his conduct over the Hamilton thing... I definitely wouldn't be as worried knowing he was in charge. He has his fucked up beliefs, but the ability to listen to reason is really important, and Trump doesn't have it. quote:
ORIGINAL: BamaD Every government attempt to "help" people gives them more control over the individual's life. I don't care if it comes from the right or the left I don't like it. You were equating increased government control with fascism, which isn't correct. And whether or not a government wants to control or serve people depends on the ideological forces at work within the government. Simply being large doesn't mean it's out to get you. quote:
ORIGINAL: BamaD Yes Obama is closer to being a communist than Trump is to being a fascist. But then you are closer to being a communist than Obama. Right, I guess that explains all of those Stalinesque tax cuts and bailouts and investments in capitalist enterprises. And this is why the US gets a weird series of subsidized and regulated private health insurance plans instead of universal public health care. He also bought out all of those worthless houses that are now state-owned and rented out by their former owners. America is communismland! Meanwhile: http://europe.newsweek.com/donald-trump-fascist-330476?rm=eu https://newrepublic.com/minutes/124205/yes-donald-trump-fascist http://www.theatlantic.com/notes/2016/10/fascism/502841/ http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2015/11/donald_trump_is_a_fascist_it_is_the_political_label_that_best_describes.html http://edition.cnn.com/2015/12/09/opinions/bergen-is-trump-fascist/index.html And communists support a classless stateless society... as in NO government, at least not in the sense that you would imagine a government to function. A You don't know that Trump is a fascist (though you have stated it as fact several times), but just in case you want him dead. B Stalinesgue tax cuts? No such thing. C As if you didn't know I was talking about the Marxist "temporary" dictatorship of the proletariat.
