I was wondering when i was younger i had a bedtime. Now i go to bed when Master does. I was wondering does anyone have a bedtime they have to stick to even when their Master/Dom is not around? Can it be changed it you are really tired or to later if you are not sleepy? Matt's littleone

no, although I think I need one! LOL I always stay up way too late, and am tired when the kids wake up LOL

At this time, I do not have an assigned bedtime.. however, when I have been "instructed" to have a certain bedtime, its amazing how much less problems I have with insomnia on those nights. weird eh?

I have an assigned bedtime when i am not with Master for a few reasons..... I tend to stay up to late waiting for Master and dont get enought sleep. I sleep better and dont seem to have as much of a problem with insomnia when i know it is his wish for me to sleep. I tend to be ummm more emotional when i dont get enought sleep. I can always go to sleep earlier if I am not spending time with Master. I can also ask for a later bedtime If i am not working the next day. Master encourages me to communicate with Him, so if the bed time isnt working, we talk about it and he decides what should be done.

I've had a bedtime on and off.. along with a schedule.. I usually request this, because it makes things better for me.. and I tend over do things and not know when to quit.. but as of late.. I've had trouble sticking with a schedule of any sort due to other issues in my life so we're putting it all on hold for the time being.

Heaven no, i think i would have gone insane if i had had a bedtime to hadere to, i hope my future Master will not wish for this.

yes , when ive been owned its been a total power exchange relationship and yes i had a bedtime.

Matt's littleone I put a bedtime on my one partner because he consistently loses track of time and finds himself up far too late and has other sleeping problems and by giving him a strict bedtime, we went a long way towards making sure he was getting adequate rest. He could request permission to stay late for certain things, but if prior permission was not granted, it was absolutely disobedience to do otherwise- and he has been given negative consequences for such.

I do not have bedtime and prefer to keep the same hours he has, especially when we are together. He gets up at 4 am sometimes, and I want to get him off to work. I want to be well rested when I am in his company also.

When Master and I first got together I used to try and stay up with Him to keep Him company (He has insomnia) but found I was way too tired the next day [8\|] He has told me to just go to bed when I get sleepy (usually between 11pm and midnight) as a tired grumpy sub is not a good thing! If I feel like I need a nanna nap during the day, if I am ill or time of the month, I just go (tell Him first of course). However if He wants to go to bed before me, I will usually go there with Him - cuddles are much more fun than staying up alone [;)][:D]

I go to bed anytime I want when Master is not here, but when he is here, I go to bed when he goes.

i go to bed when Sir tells me to or when i choose to if Sir has not ordered differently. Usually, Sir tells me to bed when He goes. and i am happy to go then. ceri

Yes, when I am working I have to be in bed by a certain time. I do not necessarily have to be asleep, but I have to be in bed. I can read a book or talk to him till I fall asleep. When I am not working and neither is he, my bedtime is whenever he tells me to go to bed. Sometimes that is early in the evening and sometimes it is practically the next morning. If I am not working and he is, then the choice is mine on when I go to bed. Knight's kyra

When I am with him, I had better be in his bed when he is ready for bed. When we are apart, I manage my own bedtime, although he has stepped in on occasion to tell me to go to bed, when he sees I am not getting enough sleep, overall. The funny thing is, I rarely get much sleep when with him. I sleep at the foot of his bed, typically (unless he relegates me to the floor, or pulls me up toward him to keep me close), and his feet are....let's just say active. I'm going to start bringing a hard-hat to bed...

It was actually much comfier and I got a much more fully rested sleep there than I would on the times he let me into bed with him. Course I usually was spoiled and got a sleeping bag, comforter and pillow.

Damn, you WERE spoiled. All I got was a pillow :) (and I was told that was abusive, too) I love being in his bed, but some nights are spent dodging feet. Climb to the left, crawl to the right, squeeze in between. By morning I've had quite a workout!! [:D] Actually it's all a matter of positioning. But it's a good thing I like bruises, lol.

I work shift work. When i am on night shift, alandra is required to sleep on the floor at the end of the bed. She gets a small foam, blanket and pillow. Originally, I gave the instruction to push her alittle in her mindset. After a couple weeks, I was content and found that it really didn't do anything for me. I remember telling alandra before going to work one evening that she could sleep in the bed. Her response "Did I do something wrong?". I could only chuckle and smile at her. Realizing that this Instruction had a comforting and validating effect for her, I shifted my thoughts and she still sleeps on the floor when I am not home to sleep in my own bed. Thou she does have standing order to be in the bed when she is being negatively affected physically by sleeping on the floor. It's only been a rare time that she has informed me of this.

This reply isn't related to having a Dominant (because I don't have one right now) BUT - I have no "bed time", and I am awake at all hours and sometimes asleep when other people are out and it's daytime. This has something to do with me being very ill as of late, but - I can say that I am not glued to a particular bedtime, and never have been, even when I was working 9-5, etc. Of course, when I have a Dominant, if they wanted me to have one, I guess I would do that. - Susan
