Musicmystery -> Trump, not Congress, will re-write ObamaCare (1/12/2017 7:03:38 AM)

Today in Obamacare: Congress thought it would write Obamacare’s replacement. Trump has other ideas.

First, rather than leaving it to Congress to hash out what the replacement should look like, Trump made clear he’s going to release his own plan after all — after his secretary of health and human services pick, Rep. Tom Price, is confirmed by the Senate.

Second, Trump is very much picking his own timeline too. He confirmed that he has no interest in the “repeal and delay” plan Republican leaders have pushed

It's nice to see someone finally acknowledging that the GOP Congressional approach is "bullshit," not "results."

WhoreMods -> RE: Trump, not Congress, will re-write ObamaCare (1/12/2017 11:04:49 AM)

Weird thing about Real0ne: the whole time there was a Democrat in office he was posting about FEMA deathcamps, enforced gun control, Obama being Israel's bitch (despite being a moslem who wants to impose sharia law), anything at all that the Federal government does (or tries to do and has blocked) being an unconsitutional "fuck you!" to the founding fathers, armed camps full of fuckwits who refuse to pay to graze their cattle on land they don't own being truer Americans than anybody who draws a wage from the Fed, and other such Denialican stuff.
Then as soon as the Republicans elect a president, he's all for government powers, even when they appear to be flying in the face of stuff he had against the other guy. I doubt he'd have been all chipper and cheery about Obama appointing a whole cabinet from his cronies and creditors unvetted, put it that way.
I wonder what has brought this curious change in his attitude on?

Musicmystery -> RE: Trump, not Congress, will re-write ObamaCare (1/12/2017 4:58:33 PM)

We're going to get to see which Congress lusts for more: power for themselves, or hatred for anything Obama.

WhoreMods -> RE: Trump, not Congress, will re-write ObamaCare (1/13/2017 5:07:57 AM)

Are you sure that's an either/or decision? The two aren't mutually exclusive, even in this case.
Or are you thinking more that if they just leave president pisspot to this unattended, they'll have set a precedent for him ignoring the other two branches of government whenever he chooses to do so?

Musicmystery -> RE: Trump, not Congress, will re-write ObamaCare (1/13/2017 8:20:04 AM)

A bigger issue is, like all of Trump's proposals, he has no details and no plan.

WhoreMods -> RE: Trump, not Congress, will re-write ObamaCare (1/13/2017 8:33:43 AM)

That definitely should an issue, yes. But apparently raising the matter is just sour grapes and being a bad loser. Great, innit?

Actually neither did Bernie Sanders, much as I might have liked to see him get in. To shut him up all you had to say was "How you gonna pay for that ?". But like trump MIGHT be, he might be a non-interventionalist. We'll have to see. If the US were to stop trying to police the whole world there would be money for weapons upgrades without increasing the offense budget. (do not call it a defense budget, they don't defend us)

But sanders could have taken it a step at a time. However, I think congress would be just as hostile to him as Trump, maybe moreso. But he could have beaten Trump and had the majority of the population on his side. The only people on Trump's side are those who work, and that is few. Don't look at the unemployment rate, look at the employment rate and you see. Even USDEBTCLOCK.ORG indicates how many filed taxes. And of them, how many paid little or nothing, or even got back more than they paid in due to EIC ? Bottom line, Trump's support came from taxpayers. Sanders would have definitely beat him because taxpayers are in the minority.

T^T

Quite the leader. You will soon learn that the man is a workaholic who needs very little sleep.

And so far, the Republicans have been inclined to bow down before him, as with the ethics committee legislation. President Trump speaks, and the world turns around

You are going to be surprised how much President Trump gets accomplished

The president can write anything he wants to, but someone in congress has to sponsor it and congress has to pass it, unless you think he is going to follow Obama's lead an just ignore congress an implement it on his own.

BTW did you complain when Obama skipped congress and unilaterally changed both the ACA and immigration law?

Unless Trump is going to try and EO his plan into place, he will have to come to some sort of agreement with Congress to have anything actually pass into law.
