Sorry and I will be making this point again, you are a factless felchgobbler. There were 146 million registered to vote in 2008, in 2016 that number exceeds 200 million. You cannot give anyone a pass on the maths, you are innumerate.

Or maybe they were for Trump but they didnt think there was any way in hell he was going to get it so they stayed home. Or their car broke down and they couldn't get to the polls. Or they were running late. Or sick. Or feeling depressed that day. Or it was raining and they didn't want to get out. There could have been a million little reasons to account for lots of people not getting out. FR I just know that Trump's idea of a healthcare product IS differing from what GOP believes in. So, I think people need to realise now that GOP is not Trump and Trump is not GOP. Trump used GOP platform to become President. But healthcare is one part of things, that he will feel the pressure to do better than Obamacare. I will wait for Trump to come out with what he feels is a better solution. He already said it won't be what the republicans want. But I agree that, even of my own country, I want our government to order insurers to cover pre-existing conditions. But that is not happening, so instead, our government run their own health insurance plan that covers pre-existing, but benefits aren't as great as private providers and limited to government hospitals only and low level wards. But it's still something for the less fortunate. Lower wards though means student doctors and you're essentially guinea pigs and there is no air conditioning. And we have now given free coverage for pioneer generation. People who lived during the time when Singapore was a shithole, so were the generation that suffered the most. I think they are deserving of the free coverage. They lived a hard life that enable our generation to live in such comfort and great environment. And they deserve the care. I guess they are like our veterans, except they didn't serve in military. To me, there is no point having insurance IF it doesn't cover pre-existing.

Let me preface this by saying that I have voted in 11 presidential elections and this one offered two abysmal candidates - the worst I have ever had the displeasure to consider - by FAR. It IS all about the money. Starting in the late 80s, everyone was complaining about rising health care costs and insurance premiums. The medical/insurance industrial complex blamed it on the costs of servicing the uninsured. Now, those people are insured. So, WHY haven't your premiums lowered or at least stabilized? Unraveling Nobamacare without a replacement will merely cause premiums to increase. Then, once a replacement is finally established, your premiums will increase yet again. Both the republicants and the demoncrats care only for themselves.

That is why my response was only about Trump. I figured most people here were intelligent enough to know that Clinton's numbers were similar, but with 3,000,000 more actual votes. And yes, approximately 50% of the people didn't care enough to vote one way or the other. To me that says they didn't like either one, and Trump IS included in that "either one". If they HAD wanted one or the other then I would think they would have voted.
