I'm one of those people who lost my medical coverage (that I liked), apparently forever, at this point due to ObummerCare.

My sympathies, Michael.

I have the good fortune of employer-provided insurance, but rising premiums led my workplace to switch providers. The change took effect on 1/1, and I've already shelled out several hundred bucks for wound supplies that would have been covered previously. Losing good coverage is a big drag.

Not only have cost gone up but as you pointed out coverage has dropped and the there are deductibles so high that you might as well not have insurance.
It has to be improved, lets see what the Republican have up to replace ACA.

I enjoy insurance provided by the state.

Everyone else should be enjoying it too.

Then you think you will get your old benefits back?

I strongly doubt it, since I was diagnosed with a serious condition after I purchased my policy.

Under ObummerCare, I could have had (worse) coverage for only $9,000 per year with a $15,000 deductible. Bargain!

Bonus tip for more effectively trolling, DaddySatyr: maybe don't tip your hand so obviously by including one of the right's inane playground epithets for our outgoing president, if you want bystanders to take you seriously as Concern Troll.

Bonus tip for you, boy: You know sweet fuck-all about my life, medical coverage or how badly Ol' Dumbo Ears fucked me.

You're dismissed.

Any ideas?

For starters lets stop demanding that people have coverage which there is no rational need for. Example I seriously doubt you need coverage for a hysterectomy. Next we need to eliminate health care monopolies, these predate Obamacare and were not addressed by it, if anything this problem was made worse by making it mandatory. Other changes will be needed but that is a starting point.

So you are saying that women's health insurance should cost more than men's health insurance?

dcnovice -> RE: Dismayed Trump voters tweet about losing their Obamacare benefits (1/15/2017 10:11:15 PM)

Trump is making some big promises: His insurance reform will cover more people and cost less money.

"We're going to have insurance for everybody," Trump told The Washington Post. "There was a philosophy in some circles that if you can't pay for it, you don't get it. That's not going to happen with us."

"[They] can expect to have great health care. It will be in a much simplified form. Much less expensive and much better," he said.

if the trumpster cant root out some of this corruption there will be a lot more people singing your tune, because until america wakes up and realizes there is a damn good reason I affectionately call it a mobocracy, its only going to get worse before it gets better.

and the only way that can be accomplished under capitalism is through strict regulation, the only other option as I have said all along is to put the whole thing under the gubmint and abolish the health insurance industry.
