I was watching the 60 Minutes interview after he won and the interviewer asked him about his promise to 'lock up Hillary'. Trump casually replied 'Oh I am not going to do that'.

Now I don't believe locking up the opposing party belongs in any first world democracy but are any of you Trump supporters bothered by how easily he goes back on his word? Do you feel as though you voted for a demagogue? He promised to 'drain the swamp' yet is filling people who supported him but have no qualifications. Rudy Giuliani in charge of cyber security? Would DeVos have been put in charge of education if her family had not donated 100s of millions of dollars to the Republican party? Are any of you bothered by this? Do you just see this nonsense as the cost of not electing Hillary Clinton?

Unless you wish to continue with the trend that its not a 'crime' if it can be politicized, both parties should be locking her up. Rudy is well known for the good job he did destroying wtc evidence and a great choice. Devos would bring more freedom to choice in education would she not? School taxes pale all taxes combined.

In fact most states the schools are given blank checks that we must cover.

In America tax returns are private, trump is under no obligation to turn them over, however obama was under obligation to turn over his bc.
Obama was not obligated to turn over his birth certificate, it is a matter of public record and anyone can look it up and there is not even a custom of Presidents producing one.

As for Trump’s tax return you’re correct it is private but it is a longstanding custom, since Truman, of Presidents producing their tax returns for the sake of transparency, to show there is nothing to hide. Trump not producing his seems to say; “I have something to hide”.

Donald Trump "Will NEVER Be President"

They overestimated the American voters.

I admit, I did it too... it is so obvious that the piece of shit has no business being in politics at all, let alone running for president, that it was hard to conceive of people being dumb enough to vote for him... and yet it happened.

It's painful, it's sad and I still can't believe it. It's terrifying to think just how desperate, stupid, angry, violent and/or clueless Americans can be, but now I know better.

I really hope that the next candidate knows how to talk down to people, or that Trump's inevitable disaster of a presidency is enough of a wake-up call for the people to vote him out next time.

There goes that elitism again...only stupid people voted for Trump. Keep telling yourself...or better yet, those in your life who disagree with you...that.

We're you bothered by Obama's picks? We're they all wonderfully adept at their positions...coughs, Hillary...and suitably diverse? Because quite a few Democrats didn't think so.

As for politics, I’m a pragmatist, not a Republican or a Democrat.

After 8 years of Bush the US was on the verge of bankruptcy and after 8 years of Obama the US economy has recovered and that is why I like Obama better than Bush.

Now maybe the economy hasn’t recovered as much as it could have but at least no one is talking about worldwide economic collapse any more.

As for Trump, he appears to be an egotistical misogynistic bigot but I’ll wait to see what he does to America.

Honestly if he tries to build his wall, Mexico is not going to pay for it and he’s going to collapse the economy.

and showing the tax return to show nothing to hide is a fools koolaid.

On the other hand showing a bc is a legal requirement when questioned and has nothning to do with custom or practice.

But that is an ignorant conclusion, since even if the EC did not exist each states have equal representation and trump would have still won based on the raw structure of representation. Maybe you can get amendments to give california 500 electoral votes ya think?

As I said here R1 http://www.collarchat.com/m_4992587/tm.htm

KD Are you saying the schizo is less a man than his own words or those he pillored...so he is infact a big girls blouse bleeding the system dry at the cost of all those bellow him on the pyramid scheme.

How many have not published them, ever? No-one gets away with that over here. And yet he is the first one to do so in American jackal land in what 40 years.

Usually its a measure of how much integrity a Person - leader of a nation has, or how utterly corrupt they are to the very core and how they put their rat bastard orange noses in the trough and feast and feast whilst screaming filthy Mexicans, chinks, obamacare, the Washington swamp, EPA, feeble women, darkies, lefties are taking all his voters money

I don't even live there and its my fuking business, its everyone business. But personally I only want to see them for a laugh..and yet the realization of what he has said and done will not dawn on a great many of the 25% of dim wit America jackals who voted for creature.

I'm no Clinton supporter. But, with yet another thread . . .

I'm just amazed that, after all this time, after her career is finished, people are still campaigning against her. Like they don't know any other way.

Counties have absolutely nothing to dowith this, if we look at the horridly gerrymandered districts, then a clearer picture presents itself. Cuz thats how you get the deal done in america.

No, it is not a legal requirement and as I pointed out it is a public document, it not like he was hiding it in his basement and wouldn't show it to anyone.

I would like to know if you can show an example of one other President that was legally required to show his Birth certificate, since you are the one who keeps saying it's a "legal requirement".

Until idiots started spewing forth stupidity like publicly showing it was a "legal requirement"; Obama, probably, like most people, didn't have a copy and probably hadn't ever even seen it. I know that I was in my fifties before I ever obtained a copy of my birth certificate and probably wouldn't have done that if it hadn't been for 9/11 and everybody getting all bunchy about if you are really who you say you are.

Sorry, but I have to dissect this one:

Now I don't believe locking up the opposing party belongs in any first world democracy

You're right, but I believe that NOT at least investigating her reinforces the belief that there's more than one tier of justice in this country. For the record: I also oppose mandatory minimums, the way they're meted out, currently.

but are any of you Trump supporters bothered by how easily he goes back on his word? Do you feel as though you voted for a demagogue? Wow! I thought I was going to have to split this up, but I guess I don't have to, as much as I thought. Your last sentence coupled with my belief that the SCOTUS is of the utmost importance sums it up for me.

Michael
