Huh? How did Palin use her baby? I thought she tried to hide the baby. And then the left media went out and started all this shit about her hiding her pregnancy when she was governor and hiding this baby from the public! She was trying to keep her baby away from public's eyes.
She was still trotting the child out during arguments about socialised medicine after herMcCain's campaign had crashed and burned, Greta. Do you not remember all of the stuff she was spouting about how death panels would put her kid down?

Or it could be a new standard that for all future politicians, that attacking their children are off limits, period!
Unless their kids are full grown and put themselves in the thick of it, like Trump's elder children. That is fine.
But not underage kids!
Doesn't make sense to continue something that seriously has no place in politics.
The depressing thing about entropy is that it isn't reversible. In terms of "political" debate that means that once a standard has been lowered, it stays lowered. It can sink even lower, but it's very unlikely to be ratcheted back up. Civility, I'm afraid, left the building a long time ago. (In this case, during Clinton's first term.)
