I think maybe they are a frustrated short story writer seeking an audience. Maybe write them back and let them know, that while you thnk they write well (if you do), you are seeking a partner, and they don't appear to be communicating particularly, with that goal in mind.

Go to poetry.com, or a similar site to aire your flair for the written word...Don't judge people for not having the patience to appreciate it in this forum...Here, you need to "cut to the chase" first...then, maybe, lay down the prose.  (And by the way...nobody likes a snob, not even other snobs.)

I would have chalked the email up to an HNG, then deleted the whole thing.
Darling, just because we are submissive doesn't mean we are stupid or dull witted and certainly don't deserve to be patronized.

Good call.  Because I just woke up, and this seems to be the right place to add a little "liquid sunshine"

How would you react to this???

Laughter would be my first reaction, followed closely by dismay.

Um... i am with the pup on this one.

To start with though the email from her was deleted from the responses i gather she said no thanks. Next any sub/slave who does the first meet under your conditions is an axe murder waiting to happen. How is the perspective sub supposed to have gathered any information as to your worthiness without open and honest communication first? Electronic submission? Well i do understand that some people enjoy it but for someone looking for a RT partner i do not think that will work for too long.

And this line from your profile;

"I'm not experienced in BSDM, but am willing to learn and will take it slow with safety and learning in mind."

To my mind would preclude most subs/slaves from just showing up naked and willing as you would be learning bdsm with them or from them; there are too many bad moves an inexperienced player can make that can lead to injury or death. Personally before trying anything with someone inexperienced i would want to be sure they did their research and learned proper safety precautions before attempting to scene with me.

While i do give you credit for stating openly you are learning and willing to go slowly the email response you posted in the OP seems to belie or contradict the statement from your profile.

I thought we were all here for the head games and you seem to be playing this straight... This ain't match.com is it?....

If you're going under the assumption that everyone is here for head games - you've got a lot to learn.  Not simply about BDSM - about life and relationships in general.

What's wrong with role playing from newbs - nothing, if the person that you're attempting to role play with is into that.  A lot if you're told "thanks but no thanks" and then get your panties in a knot because you weren't ooh'd and aahhh'd at.

My personal inital reaction to your RESPONCE (as the other person's email that you so rudely posted here - against TOS - had already been deleted by the Mods when I got around to looking at this thread) would have been first to start laughing.  Then I likely woulda said "Get Over Yourself.  And Don't quit your day job - you're not going to be selling any short stories to publishers in the near future.  And don't bother to email me with this time wasting drek again.  I already told you no."  At that point, your email would have been deleted, and your name would have been blocked to save myself the potential hassle of reading anything else that you potentially sent.

While this might be a Kink oriented site - it is, in fact, very much like a match.com.  The great majority of us know what we want - and what we do NOT want.  We know what will satisfy OUR needs, and frankly aren't interested in the BS of wasting our time on someone who patently will not meet our requirements simply because they're of the mistaken opinion that we will meet Their requirements.

Oh - and one last thing, windy.  You asked for peoples' opinions in your OP.  They gave you those opinions.  If what you wanted was for everyone to play suck up games, lie to you, and pat you on your wounded little head telling you that the person you were pissed at was out of line - you should have said so up front, rather than getting pissy about the honesty of the responces you read here.

I want to add my own anecdote:

About 20 minutes ago, I was contacted by a gentleman telling me I need to learn about kink & fetish, and that I should do so in his dungeon.

I replied that, as a straight male, I was not interested in a man who could not type a copy and paste message without typos.

What he took offense to was my calling it copy and paste.

I replied again that even so, he could not type properly.

I'm waiting on the reply from him, and hope that you are as eager to hear this adventure as I am to write it.

Yours,

benji

I most likely would have chalked it up to writers cramp and typed back saying:  when you have finished the fiction, let me know what the title is, if it makes it to the store shelves and i recognize it, i may even buy it to read.   That is a big IF though...you need alot more context  to the fold, and you need something to make others WANT to read it.   You're on the way, but not quite there yet.  Good luck.

(quick reply)
I know I'm a bit late to the party but I couldn't resist joining in.
I think I'd react by pressing delete, and then pressing block.... providing I could restrain myself from sending a scathing reply.
You're rude, presumptuous, arrogant, over the top, almost laughably dramatic, and that's just for starters. 'Electronic supplication'? Using longer words doesn't necessarily make a better sentence. It just makes you look like you feel the need to show off. Go play scrabble or something. Seems to me you'd be better at that than finding a submissive to serve you.

I've had people mail me stories before.  If I wanted to read smut, I'd go do that.  It isn't what this place is meant for.  Things like that do merit a delete as far as I'm concerned.

As for as 'roleplaying' goes...  I can do that (and do) in an actual RPG.  I don't consider my submissiveness to be an act, and I am not playing a role.  This is an actual aspect of my life and personality.  I wouldn't seek involvement with someone who's only playing at being a dominant.

MONTHS of electronic "proof" of worthyness (whatever that is) before meeting? In my book THAT's the headgame. I get grumpy if I can't meet smeone within a few weeks.
