That Trump and Spicer kept doubling down on lies in the face of all the facts was striking to a lot of people. I loathe Trump, but I would have found it perfectly defensible for them to respond with something like "yeah well that's not a fair comparison, Obama was making history as the first African American president". It would have been an acceptable answer. But this group has other plans. They are doing their best to Gaslight the country. Batter people endlessly with lies so that people give up on the truth and just get used to "Alternative Reality". It's a very Hitlerian Goebbels-like approach (fitting for a man who used to keep the Fuhrer's speeches by his bedside, according to his second wife). We'll see if the country gets worn down by it and succumbs to the PsyOps warfare Trump has in mind to wage against them. From the first week, the results don't look so good. The protest Saturday drew 3 million nationwide.
