This election was a triumph of ignorance, it's humiliating and it makes me feel like shit.


Now you know how the other half of the country felt about Obama's policies. Obama pushed his (your) alt left agenda too hard, and this is blow back. As evidenced by the election results (including Congressional elections), people didn't enjoy the alt left experience and we want a change in direction.

If you actually like Trump, I wouldn't bring this up.

The "wall" is possibly the worst idea ever conceived.

Even without the wall, the cartels have dug tunnels that would easily defeat the wall if it was there, so why build a multi-million, if not multi-billion dollar wall that Mexico will never pay for and anybody with a tall enough ladder can defeat and it might be cheaper just to start another war in the Middle East.

The wall is very doable

It is being done

Who ever told you that it has to be a mile high, a mile deep, run from sea to sea and be made of mile-thick titanium

It doesn't have to be perfect or impenetrable at all, its purpose is additional security where there is nothing at all at present

And it will handle that task extremely well

The alternative is Obama's no border policy, and enough people hated that they decided to elect Donald Trump

I don't believe I said anything about it not being "doable", the Great Wall of China was doable, maybe we can sell tickets to tourists so they see Trump's Folly and that would defray some of the costs that Mexico is not going to pay.

Nor did I say anything about it being "a mile high, a mile deep, run from sea to sea and be made of mile-thick titanium", although it would have to be to do the job some people think it's going to do.

I mean how deep does it have to be to keep people from digging under it or high does it have to be to keep some one with a ten or twenty foot ladder from climbing over it? And how long does it have to be to keep people from just going around it? Or just cutting through it? Or a little dynamite to blow a hole in it?

As for "additional security", at what price? Millions if not billions of dollars just to possibly keep maybe one person out of a hundred from crossing the border?

Honestly, how naive can a person be?

It puts us in an awkward position of either trying to take care of you or having to kick you out. We don't have the money to take care of our own people so we really can't take care of you anymore. And we don't appreciate you putting us in the position of having to kick you out. So please be a decent and fair neighbor and respect our property line.

Do you really think it's good idea to spend around 10 billion dollars for just a "symbol to the Mexican people", billions that you just said we already don't have.

I was being generous.

It took Bush 8 years to put not only the US but the world economy on the ropes.

I don't think it's going to take Trump and his cronies that long to fill their pockets but I'm hoping something will be left after 4 years.
