Trump has officially designated his own inauguration day 'National Day of Patriotic Observation'. https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2017/01/24/2017-01798/special-observances-national-day-of-patriotic-devotion-proc-9570 And before you start leaping to conclusions about him honoring all presidents, NOPE, the day is only January 20th, 2017. what bullshit, its not a day to honor himself its a day to honor the 'people' that desire honesty and accountability in a government working 'FOR the PEOPLE' not a for profit gubblemint working for the gubblemint. Someone needs to compare the history of all recent presidents, who divested any income involvement with the US or foreign governments. The Combover not only doesn't divest OR publish tax history (Which most of us consider basic honesty), his hotels are actively recruiting foreign government business. Turning Government into Profit, For Trump. Most of us call this irony, post #4 makes it spectacularly so.

Yes it is hard for me to grasp. He wants to encourage unity. And one of the unity-feeling, is patriotism. He wants to bring back good old American Patriotism. To me, this isn't about himself. So On top of 4th of July. He simply made another 4th of July type of day.

I think it's just you feel that way because, you don't like the fact that he is President, and reading too much into it. You just don't like he chose inauguration day, because you don't like him as President. But to me, he wants to bring the country together, and that is a good day to mark the start of it.
