yeh gubblemint employees are shitting in the pants worried their gravy train is going to dry up [8D]

Many of them are way overpaid what they are worth.

Which ones?
Currently there are about 40,000 unfilled positions at the v.a. Which of those positions are overpaid?

All of the rest of them.

Nope. I'm really not interested in this inter-poster snark. It's dull.

The point is this -- who's going to pay for this ridiculously expensive wall that won't even do what it's supposed to?

As pointless as rounding up innocent people with legal VISAs and detaining them on a whim for following the system.

That ought to trouble everyone. That's not a democratic government in action.

Why are there two threads on this, and why do you stupidly repeat each lie on each one

You complain that they come in on planes, so he cracks down on that. Does that make you happy? Of course not, you claim he is a
"dictator" now, for exercising only that authority which Congress has given every president

They are not citizens, they have no rights. Just like we have no rights trying to enter any other nation with only a visa, which may or may not be honored.

Obama was way too loose on immigration, allowing Muslims in without properly vetting them. As per his campaign promises, President Trump is remedying that situation with powers granted him under the constitution despite your fear mongering lies to the contrary

I don't really know how he will pay for it, nor do I think any of us really know, but I think he might cut aid to them,

Which part do you think they will cuty?

http://us-foreign-aid.insidegov.com/l/112/Mexico

if they want military equipment, pay full boat.

What sort of "bargain" are they getting now?

If they want to import stuff, charge a huge tarriff. If they want anything, refuse it.

You might want to look at that from the perspective of what we get from them. How much of our food and fuel come from mexico.

There will be an Anti-American backlash which will cost them their tourist dollars. In the end, they pay, one way or the other.

Tourism represents a single digit percentage of mexico's gdp. Amerikan tourism, while the largest single group, is still a number smaller than the total.

Why do you feel that all 40,000 unfilled vacencies at the v.a. are overpaid

If they start a GoFundMe account, I'll send them $100.

That is not what he did dumbass. A dozen people who put their lives at risk to help amerika. Who had gone through a two year enhanced vetting process, were stopped at jfk. Is that how you treat your friends? Dumbdon has stopped access from 7 predominantly muslim nations but pakistan who gave us the san bernardino shooters and saudi arabia who gave us the 9/11 hijackers were not on the list. Anyone with a green card who is outside of amerika cannot get back in...this would include h1b visa holders.

Under what circumstances will a legally iiiued visa not be honored?

Obama was way too loose on immigration, allowing Muslims in without properly vetting them.

Wasn't the big eared articulate guy the one who created the new two year enhanced vetting process

Why are you in favor of our money supporting illegal immigrants and refugees instead of taking care of our veterans?

But it doesnt. And if you somehow saved money (which you will be spending a great deal more, and doing a great deal less fixing the problem) you damn sure wont spend it on our veterans, Look at the real history, not the nutsucker hysterical factless emotionalism.

Well if you are so concerned, send a check to the Veteran Society like i do.

1) They have gone through the system, as prescribed by the US

2) They hold VISAs and even Green Cards -- they are official US residents, with legal permission

3) They are being turned away at the border and even detained, having committed no crime except being stupid enough to follow US law.

This isn't enforcement -- it's bullying. It's pretending. It's arbitrary.

And he didn't even think it through, give the airlines a heads up. Just snap and watch the minions scramble.

What was accomplished in terms of US safety? Nothing. Congratulations -- your führer turned away or imprisoned LEGAL immigrants. Way easy than catching illegals, I suppose. But the mark of an idiot dictator, not a democratic leader.

You got to bully some folks born in Muslim countries. Not the ones Trump does business with, or the ones from which the 9/11 hijackers came, nothing like that -- just arbitrary, legal immigrants, even residents, even E-2 employees.

You are both insane.

BoscoX -> RE: Who's going to pay for this? (1/28/2017 6:13:17 PM)

Obama thought it would be a fun idea to scuttle the database we had on Muslims in the country just before leaving office. That act of sabotage has to be repaired, because now we have no idea who is here because of that.

Obama liked to say that elections have consequences, and he liked to prove it.

All President Trump is doing, is repairing that damage.

Time somebody did.

Still a dumb and expensive wall.

Try considering ideas on their merits, instead of whether they're left/right liberal/conservative.

In this case, you aren't even considering the conservative point. Isn't winning people over the point of debate? Or is it just about the snark for you?

If you want to pay for it, send Trump a check, and Texas compensation.

W. prized our relationship with Mexico. I suppose he's a liberal now. And the entire Texan GOP delegation.

Dumb. Expensive. Pointless.

Border security has been paramount to most conservatives for a long time, and another thing (like fiscal responsibility) that enraged us when the RINOs turned their backs on their campaign promises

National security is among the few legitimate roles for the feral government. "Liberals" suddenly crying about the government spending money fulfilling its legitimate role is laughable

Don't you have a mom n pop bakery or a mud puddle that needs micromanaging somewhere

Yea, turns out Reagan and Bush I were RINOs after all.

At least he acknowledges it has nothing to do with illegals or with terrorism -- it's simply persecution of Muslims.

Hey, we weren't really using that Constitution anyway.

Non citizens, invaders and guests, have no rights under our Constitution. It isn't a suicide pact.

Who is persecuting Muslims now, are you off of your meds again

One can only hope it was the 'mexican' judge from illinois that did the stay, of course it wasn't.
But this is a well, DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHH. The burden of proof will be on the government, and the SCOTUS will apply strict scrutiny.

So, the posssible arguements here to lift the stay, would be nutsuckerism or crickets, which one do the proven constitution violating nutsuckers use?

So...billions on a fence we're calling a wall, then billions more to increase ICE by 25%, including recruiting and training the agents needed for the enforcement Donald wants to do, then more for the processing . . .

Where is this money coming from?

Obama racked up what, ten trillion in debt? And I don't recall anyone on the left ever breathing a word about it.

Ever.

To the subject though, President Trump is cutting back drastically what we are wasting at the UN, etc etc etc

Just the jobs he has saved from going over the border to Mexico already will bring in substantial tax revenue (so the Mexicans are paying for it)

On and on, so try not to worry your little head about it none 'cause it's gonna be all right

Some of the debt increase was already projected to occur before anything was signed by Obama. Moreover, spending and tax decisions are primarily the responsibility of Congress at least officially and often end up being the result of actions (or inactions) agreed upon by both Congress and the president.
