It seems like these days politicians can say anything they want. I just think this is bs. That is the thing about Texas. All the men walk around with their dicks hanging out but this twit says the women take the responsibility.

Well they should take responsibility for themselves shouldn't they? What do expect men to be responsible for you? That's not very feminist- type thinking, is it?

DaddySatyr -> RE: Personally responsible (1/26/2017 12:41:28 PM)

The goal of the women's movement was to take control of their reproductive rights and to bear the responsibility of their decisions.

Now, the women's movement seems to say: "My body. My choice. A man's responsibility" That's not what the movement started out with.

Pics or it didn't happen.
Or are you arguing that a man shouldn't have to pay child support if he got somebody pregnant because women can get an abortion now?

Well, unless the SCOTUS decision that abortions are legal in the first 2 trimesters is proven unConstitutional, this bill will be held invalid under Federal supremacy.

If Roe V. Wade is proven to be unConstitutional, then it is invalid, and each State can make it's own rules.

I'm going to hazard a guess that the former is more likely than the latter.

A man has 101% control not to make a woman pregnant too.
The woman is responsible for having the baby by having to carry it.
The man needs to be responsible by helping to take care of it.

He should be responsible by making sure his child has a right to it's life too.

He should be responsible by CHOOSING a woman who will AGREE to carry his child to life.

An Unwanted pregnancy is like Rape.

Did she consent to carrying his child? No. Then why did he put a child into her body?

He should have asked permission IF she wanted to carry his child first, before putting his child into her body.

IF ALL men bothered to check with the woman, what will she do IF they had a child, and ascertify that she WON'T abort it. There will be no aborted fetuses.

No woman gonna say, yes I want a child from you! And then go abort it.

There's this thing called birth control that women can take so they won't get pregnant.

Greta75 -> RE: Personally responsible (1/26/2017 8:23:37 PM)

Women can't get pregnant without man's involvement.

So for a man to get a woman pregnant and then saying he is not responsible AT ALL for it, it's 100% her responsibility is nonsense.

If men do not want aborted fetuses or his child to ever get aborted.

He needs to double check with the woman IF she wants a child before impregnating her first.

It's just simple procedure. IF every man can just follow this simple procedure. Abortion will become Zero incidences.

My point is, Women seriously cannot have babies without men.

Men have ALOT of power to decide on whether the woman gets a child or not. They should own up to that power.

I'm saying that not only does he share some responsibility if she gets pregnant, but he also has a right to protect the life of his child from conception. If a woman didn't want a baby in her uterus, she should have taken birth control.

it was decided on the right to privacy which was supreme in th ecase of abortion but not in the case of kevorkian and assisted suicide, which is fuck your privacy.

You still need men's permission to donate their sperm. So you still need a man!

Lucy is one female who got pregnant like 7 times despite birth control, or something. You should ask her about how birth control failed her.

Personally for me. I use birth control and force the man to use condoms as well, so that worked 100% for me. And IF condom broke, I always took morning After pill.

Following all those steps, despite me having loads of casual sex since a teenager, the result is zero pregnancy.

Even when I was married, I forced my x-husband to use a condom, while I was on birth control, as I was adamant, NO ACCIDENTS. IF we want a baby, it must be planned carefully.

But both Men and Women must be as responsible!

IF a man fuck up and got an unwanted baby. Then too bad. The consequences for him is, he doesn't get to decide because he is not the body hosting the baby.

IF genders were reversed and the man is the one who is hosting the baby. I still wouldn't want woman to have any say IF she wasn't careful enough and end up inserting a baby into a man's belly! Because how irresponsible it is to insert your baby into the body of a host who DOES NOT WANT IT! They deserve losing their rights to decide.

That must be unique to where you are Greta.

Over here, you don't need any man's permission - you get your sperm from a sperm bank.
Much like a blood donor, you won't know who the donor is.

You still need a man's permission to get his sperm to a sperm bank. Unless you are saying these sperm banks are stealing sperms from men against their will.

Or artificially creating them from scratch through artificial methods.

No men, no sperms. That's my point.

As you need men to produce sperms.

Unless artificial sperms are already produced by machines in the UK that I am unaware about.

THEY should practice safe sex, which may include birth control medications and condoms and other prophylactics. It's not just a woman's duty to prevent herself from becoming pregnant. Granted, being on BC can help prevent pregnancies from non-consensual sex.

I disagree. It's a woman's 'duty' to herself to not get pregnant if she doesn't want to.
