But for the moment, Mr. Bannon remains the president’s dominant adviser, despite Mr. Trump’s anger that he was not fully briefed on details of the executive order he signed giving his chief strategist a seat on the National Security Council, a greater source of frustration to the president than the fallout from the travel ban.

WHAT A FUCKING MORON.

It's all true:

Oh, and then he got angry about it.

WhoreMods -> RE: Trump signed an order he didn't read, wasn't briefed on (2/6/2017 5:10:54 AM)

In other news, ice is cold and men with tiny dicks try to overcompensate.

Seriously-- a virtual neo-nazi has promoted himself to the security council by exploiting the laziness and stupidity of a man who was just elected president.

These are the times we are living in.

tweakabelle -> RE: Trump signed an order he didn't read, wasn't briefed on (2/6/2017 6:10:54 AM)

The presence of that neo-Nazi taken with the chilling criticisms of judges and the legal process following the court orders restraining the so-called Muslim ban is rather troublesome.

The influence of the neo-Nazi Bannon could be curtailed by the courts upholding the law and the Constitution but Thump's push back against legal decisions he dislikes suggests that this Administration is not terribly concerned with legal niceties such as respect for the Law and legal processes. If the law doesn't support their way of doing things, the 'F*** the Law' seems to be the attitude prevailing at the White House. That's worrying when there's a neo-Nazi prominently positioned to influence outcomes.

May you alt left idiots finally figure out that the majority sees right through your constant New York Times fake news stories...

You constantly scream "Nazi" this and "Nazi' that. George Bush was a "Nazi"

Anyone you disagree with is a "Nazi" as your paid Soros Brownshirts pummel citizens for going to speeches or attending an inauguration

You are caricatures of buffoons.

mnottertail -> RE: Trump signed an order he didn't read, wasn't briefed on (2/6/2017 8:38:51 AM)

The brownshirts so far are from the nutsucker party that are promulgating violence on American citizens. Nutsuckers are paying them 2500 apiece to beat up innocent americans.

heavyblinker -> RE: Trump signed an order he didn't read, wasn't briefed on (2/6/2017 8:40:11 AM)

So Bosco, what do you think about a president who just signs things that he doesn't read or understand?
Is this someone that you consider worthy of everyone's respect?
Do you think this person should be in a position where his decisions will have an effect on the lives of millions of people?

Oh wow you just complained about us alt-lefties accusing people of being Nazis while saying 'brownshirts' for about the 95th time in a few days.

Yeah, no buffoonery happening there.

Musicmystery -> RE: Trump signed an order he didn't read, wasn't briefed on (2/6/2017 8:53:18 AM)

Whenever he realizes he can't defend something -- like a president taking action he hasn't bothered to check or get adequate briefing on, or like a white nationalist worming his way into the NSC -- Boz always tries to deflect by either "But Obama" or "you alt-left" something or another.

It's his way of admitting he's defeated.

heavyblinker -> RE: Trump signed an order he didn't read, wasn't briefed on (2/6/2017 9:07:35 AM)

Yeah really.

I mean, I get that they hate Obama and everything... but defending this level of incompetence? In what universe is this level of laziness and stupidity appropriate for a leader of any kind?

The only way out of admitting that supporting this piece of shit is a mistake is to scream 'fake news'... and then post a link to some random site that no one has ever heard of to prove it's all a part of a liberal plot to destroy America. If this doesn't register as ridiculous... then what will?

I honestly can't imagine that anyone who could defend Trump as a competent leader would even have the facilities to recognize how intelligent someone is.

Not really a Moron. In high management positions, you expect your personal assistant to go through all your things, and then brief you on the most important things you need to know. You probably gotta sign alot of stuffs. And you just routinely sign them but you have a trusted person to vet through them on the important things to highlight to you.

It's normal. Like before a meeting also, your personal assistance will compile you a file on important things you need to know before the meeting.

So yea, he has to blast the person who is suppose to highlight to him important details about documents he is signing IF they failed to do a proper job.

Especially someone running the country. I don't think they have the time to read every fine print. I do not expect them to. They need to have trusted people to do all that for him and highlight to him anything of concern.

heavyblinker -> RE: Trump signed an order he didn't read, wasn't briefed on (2/6/2017 9:43:06 AM)

Greta, do you seriously think that the US president isn't obligated to personally verify or understand the executive orders he is signing?
And do you think it's normal for an advisor to trick the president into appointing him to the national security council?

No excuses please. At most he signed only three EOs in a day. If he won't read them his crayons should be taken from him.

He didn't know he was giving Bannon so much power on the security council... possibly didn't realize he was even putting Bannon on the security council. I can only assume that Bannon himself gave him the order... I really can't imagine the rest of that freakshow thinking it was a good idea.

So basically, Trump didn't read it, didn't care what it was about, signed it, and now Bannon has an unprecedented role as the first ever non-military, political advisor to a board of military experts that advise the president on the nation’s security.

You can read about Bannon here:

He's a scary mofo.

What you say is generally true. But this is why smart people choose their assistants carefully. As it turns out, Trump takes it as a point of pride to not do much of anything carefully. His general recklessness was and still is acknowledged to be a great selling point by his supporters, in fact.

But in any case an executive order is nowhere near as complicated as a proposed bill from congress. And responsibility for such orders is directly on the president. I don't care if I had a very smart and very trustworthy advisor or assistant, I would read the damned thing before I signed it.

The assumption that there's actually a bottom and either the GOP or its embarrassing president will stop sinking lower once they've reached that level is probably a false one after the way the last couple of weeks have played out, sadly. It seems they'll constantly surprise everybody else with ways to sink lower still.

We have never had a president who meekly accepted unfavorable rulings.
