Last thing---what leftists who complain about such things just don’t seem to get: there is a huge difference (all the difference in the world actually) between a person who does something in obedience to/inspired by his faith, and one who acts in complete opposition to it. “Christian terrorist” or “Christian murderer” is an oxymoron.

The same can be said of any religious people. It is not a statement exclusive to Christians.

In any event here are some Christian terrorists:

Rachelle Ranae "Shelley" Shannon (born March 31, 1956)[1] is an American Christian anti-abortionist from Grants Pass, Oregon,[2] known for her several criminal acts targeting abortion providers, most notably the shooting of George Tiller in both arms outside his abortion clinic in Wichita on August 19, 1993.[3][4][5] After her conviction for attempted murder she later pleaded guilty to setting fires at several abortion clinics on the West Coast, and is serving her sentence at FCI Waseca in Minnesota. Her projected release date is November 7, 2018.[6]

And another:

James Charles Kopp (born August 2, 1954) is an American citizen who was convicted in 2003 for the 1998 sniper-style murder of Barnett Slepian, an American physician from Amherst, New York who performed abortions. Prior to his capture, Kopp was on the FBI's list of Ten Most Wanted Fugitives. On June 7, 1999 he had become the 455th fugitive placed on the list by the FBI. He was affiliated with the militant Roman Catholic anti-abortion group known as "The Lambs of Christ".

And another:

Paul Jennings Hill (February 6, 1954 – September 3, 2003) was a convicted American murderer. Hill murdered physician, Dr. John Britton, and Britton's bodyguard James Barrett in 1994. Hill was sentenced to death by lethal injection and was executed on September 3, 2003.

Hill graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary, where he studied under Greg Bahnsen, a founder of the right-wing Christian Reconstructionist movement.[2] He attended St. Paul Presbyterian Church, which espoused theonomy, a movement related to Reconstructionism.[3]

And there is this group:

Army of God (AOG) is a Christian terrorist organization that has engaged in the use of anti-abortion violence in the United States to fight against abortion.[1] According to the Department of Justice and Department of Homeland Security's joint Terrorism Knowledge Base, the Army of God is an underground terrorist organization active in the United States formed in 1982. In addition to numerous property crimes, the group has committed acts of kidnapping, attempted murder, and murder. While sharing a common ideology and tactics, members claim to rarely communicate;[2] the organization forbids those who wish to "take action against baby killing abortionists" from discussing their plans with anyone in advance.[3]

"Christian terrorist" an oxymoron? I don't think so.

They actually said that.

I thought historically, Dems were the pro-slaves owning party.

Yes and the republicans were the progressives. Now they have switched roles.

No, now Democrats want to use communism to enslave everyone, and they strive to ensure there are "free' abortion clinics in minority neighborhoods. Work to purposely get blacks and others who Hillarys heroine Sanger would call "deplorables" hooked on government handouts, and otherwise destroy black families' work ethics and other moral codes

Develop and encourage a victim mentality that guarantees failure

Just keeping blacks and others down in different ways these days

Killing baby killers... Eerily similar to current alt left "it is okay to punch a Nazi" mantra, and your BLM terrorists assassinating and otherwise targeting random police officers

There are other terrorist groups on the left too (that would be your own religion)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-wing_terrorism

So what's your point

Muslim law, ideology, calls for Muslims to terrorize and kill everyone who isn't exactly like them, even other Muslims TO PLEASE ALLAH, and as a ticket to paradise. And Muslim law encourages many forms of extreme terroristic Shariah punishments

Christian tenets and Western laws, not so much. Our society (as you pointed out yourself) condemns such CRIMINALS to death, or very lengthy prison terms

an oxymoron is an expression combining two contradictory or seemingly contradictory expressions.

ive said stuff like this before but since you don't heed it, i'll say it again. nothing in life is perfect and finding rare examples do not disprove the general rule.

if Christians do indeed murder or commit acts of terror, they do so in spite of their faith, not because of it.

so yes, Christian terrorist is an oxymoron. loving your neighbor as yourself is not compatible with killing them. get it?

further, since you seemed to have conveniently ignored other relevant parts of my post. people are not Christians just because you, or a website, or sometimes interestingly enough, even people themselves say they are.

so now, given that you want to hold the position that these particular people were indeed Christians, please provide the essential evidence of their Christianity.

if you cant and have to rely on the utterings of others who also cannot provide it, then you have essentially no case.

in spite of, for xtians, but because of for muslims, yet they share the same old testament and the urge by god to commit violence, and the vague formulaic passages that intimate violence thru Jeebus doings, they dont share.

Seem like a horse apiece.

You are a moron. Christian text and laws forbid violence, Muslim texts (including 109 passages in the Koran) and laws demands violence. Any time you post that a "Christian" committed violence, he was acting against his alleged religion.

I'd be interested to know where Deutoronomy, Leviticus, Exodus, or most of the rest of the old testament besides Ecclesiastes prohibits violence against unbelievers.

Here

Matthew
Mark
Luke
John
Acts (of the Apostles)
Romans
1 Corinthians
2 Corinthians
Galatians
Ephesians
Philippians
Colossians
1 Thessalonians
2 Thessalonians
1 Timothy
2 Timothy
Titus
Philemon
Hebrews
James
1 Peter
2 Peter
1 John
2 John
3 John
Jude
Revelation

None of which are the books I cited, sonny.

As always he is factless anyway.

He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.

Funny thing, of the list I posted, doing any research on the organizations to which the so called "non christians" (as claimed by two users who found fault with my labeling) were affliated with, has either Christ or Christian in the name or profess a belief in christ in their statements, therefore, by any stretch of the title, the label fits.

Now, did I say that these people actually were following the teachings of Christ, no more than the radicalized Muslims are following the true faith of Islam.

What they (both groups) are using to justify their acts are verses taken from their preferred religious text out of context. The version of the Hadith as quoted by many to justify their accusations against ALL of Islam is a re edited version written by a man who was executed in Egypt for attempting to a assassinate President Nasser in the late 60's.

It is no different that some Christian extremists using the verse in Mathew “Do not suppose I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have come not to bring peace, but a sword.” to justify violence against any and everyone that oppose them.

The issue with any religion is that it can be twisted and perverted to justify everything from marrying a 13 year old girl (Warren Jeffs) to the murder of millions.

The ethnic cleansing in Bosnia and Serbia was justified in part by religious beliefs, when the simple fact was that it was based more in 'racial purity' as was Hitler's action against the Jews in WW 2.

But, more to the point, as some Christians are quick to quote:

“But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one" Luke 22:36

Which, seems contradictory to his statement in the Garden "He who lives by the sword shall die by the sword."

Then on a different subject:

Greta seems to think that Christianity is not oppressive to women, and while she is partly correct, I must point out that women who committed adultery were marked with an "A" for adulteress. For almost 1300 years that mean a brand on the right cheek.

When you consider how they were treated for having that mark, death would have almost been a blessing.

So, Christianity is far from clean. Even today.

As for the current claim that Libs dont care about a gunman in a gay night club in Orlando, I find it almost absurd

Speaking of hysteria . . .

Trump immediately tweeted his reaction to the [Court of Appeals] ruling:

Well if it does, it will be your fault!

I confess it's a little amusing -- if more saddening -- that folks are using hysteria to refute the hysteria.

Anything but turning to conclusive evidence.

To be fair, sure, there's hysteria on the left as well. But it's not this organized consistent talking point official hysteria: "Go riot now!"

Actually, Muse, it most certainly is coming from the left. Got a link to the "taking our guns" riot? The "stealing Christmas" riot? I fucking think not. I, on the other hand, could get you the "Trump isn't my President" riot, or the "a conservative might speak at Berkeley" riot" if I didn't know you fucking well know about them, but are choosing to be willfully ignorant.

Jeezus. WTF is wrong with you guys?

I know the meaning of the term. A lecture from you is not needed.

quote:

"Nothing is life is perfect" seems to be a defense you apply strictly to Christians but has no standing when you exclaim of the "murdering muslim hoards" who are a fiction of your childish imagination.

The reason why they are rare is that I could not be arsed to list all of them. There are more. Your bias has rendered you blind to the well documented, violent war waged in the name of Christianity by demented Jesus followers.

quote:

if Christians do indeed murder or commit acts of terror, they do so in spite of their faith, not because of it.

There is no "if" about it. "in spite of their faith" is your conjecture, which you offer without evidence.

quote:

so yes, Christian terrorist is an oxymoron. loving your neighbor as yourself is not compatible with killing them. get it?

Jesus said: I came to fulfill the Law; not to destroy it.

You cannot deny the murderous books of the Torah. They are the Law.

quote:

further, since you seemed to have conveniently ignored other relevant parts of my post. people are not Christians just because you, or a website, or sometimes interestingly enough, even people themselves say they are.

Really a desperate stretch on you part.

quote:

if you cant and have to rely on the utterings of others who also cannot provide it, then you have essentially no case.

The evidence is in their life stories. Your ignorance of the vile and murderous side of the anti-abortion movement has been exposed, so you set up standards of evidence which you yourself are not competent to fulfill.

You are truly a failed advocate for your position, and your position is indefensible.
