What the president has is called the "biscuit," a laminated card he carries with him at all times which contains codes he uses to verify his identity to the military in an emergency (if he decides to launch nuclear weapons).

Point is, Trump cannot press a button or enter a code and unilaterally launch a nuclear strike.
He must go through the military chain of command to do so.
