In Brazil....very christian country.
A trans woman who was filmed begging for her life before being beaten to death has become the fifth trans person to be murdered in Brazil in a month.
The attack, which took place in Fortaleza has been condemned by local government who have warned the attackers that they will be punished.
Video footage shows Dandara dos Santos, 42, being dragged from her home into a street where she is punched and kicked before being placed into a wheelbarrow and taken to a back alley and beaten to death.
In the video one person is heard saying ‘they will kill the f****t’, while others make cruel taunts and homophobic insults.
The attack, which occurred last month, has sparked public outrage with calls for the attackers to be brought to justice.
Police Inspector Damasceno, who is investigating the death, said: ‘Six people have been identified and the video has helped with that. The footage was first circulated among LGBT groups which helped that process.
‘The police began circulating the clip and we arrived at the house of two of the people identified but they fled. The investigation is already well advanced and we are going after the killers.’
