Not if we start with them as children. There's no point trying to teach someone who's spent a lifetime hating women. But if we could, as a society, get a hold of the problem together, life could be better. I agree that for practicality's sake, warning women about rape is important. If I had a daughter, I would definitely warn her about it, and that part of her gender performance is an expression of vulnerability that literally calls to rapists. I just think we need to start earlier with men instead of putting all the worry on women, so that they don't have to live in a world where rape is an acceptable, anticipated outcome to men being a part of our society.
