ORIGINAL: DaddySatyr This is a direct response to the original post not anything else. I think the comparison to Nazism is all too often over-used. It gets thrown around, willy-nilly, whenever people want to dehumanize their "opposition". That said, I think there's been some blow-back to that and it may be doing us another disservice. Personally, I think a comparison to Nazism is appropriate, when we're talking about Al Qaeda/DAESH/ISIS. There are some absolutely direct comparisons, in the extreme. Tim Allen is a comedian I have almost always enjoyed. Had this been a political statement, I would have said that he needed to frame his comment better. Something along the lines of: "Well, no one is going around targeting certain groups for death, but ...". However, Tim was "riffing". He was having a conversation. He was asked a question and the "line" popped into his head and he went with it. His comparison, when it comes to non-diversity of thought and then, black-balling based upon that judgment is pretty spot-on if you ask other conservatives in Hollyweird. Michael He looked uncomfortable admitting that he attended the inauguration. Threatening a persons livelihood, often succeeding in ruining careers, is very serious and the left revels in doing that. They used to hang horse thieves not for the 'poor horse' (they weren't animal rights extremists) but because without a horse a man had no livelihood. It was like taking a man's life And the left loves doing that, if you don't go along with their radical ideology
