I'm somewhere in the middle.  I like living in the suburbs, where I live now.  It is actually pretty peaceful and quite here.  However, I the major employment centers are still a comfortable driving distance.  If I want to go into the city for dining, entertainment, or shopping, that is very doable as well.

Personally, for work I would want somewhere buzzing with all types of fantacy diversions and brimming with night life.   While for weekends and vacations I would want somewhere quiet, few people and no noisy night life.  My parents accomplished this via living on a boat in Ft. Lauderdale FL and then going to the bahamas on the weekends.  So I guess I would either say own 2 homes or have the ability to travel whenever I wanted.

my preference is somewhere between the two, both in character and in distance. :) perhaps a nice suburban home with a bit of space, some quiet, and pretty 'country' smells...a short drive from forests or other naturey green, but not too far from good shopping, restaurants, and nightlife.

I want to live in a remote, mountainous area in Montana or Wyoming.  One of those places where you go into town about once a month for supplies, the nearest neighbor is at least two miles away, and it's not uncommon to get snowed in for the winter.

Second choice would be the coast of Maine, but I've a feeling there are way too many people up there for me.  I hate city life, even though my current "city" is only about 30,000 inhabitants (down substantially from the million in the last place I lived).

Ocean front definetly, with my own private stretch of beach with a house that overlooks the water, one of my goals in life is to get just that.

I grew up in the country and it's always where I have been happiest.   I can see myself with a big old house..a huge front porch..with a swing and chairs...perhaps near a coast..where I could see the ocean on one side...but on the other have a huge fenced field with horses...and a beautiful valley to look out on.   Big dream, yes..but if you are going to dream..why dream small? ~Andrea

NAMASTE! where would i prefer to live? i guess in an urban area that's green, clean, diverse, has community centers for the youth and that actually takes proactive steps towards housing, educating and finding employment for the homeless. i am so tired of certain horrible and ugly characteristics of living in a big city all my life. a penthouse would be nice. with a comprehensive security/surveillance system. in my fantasy-world i have homes in Spain, Guyana and the habitable part of northern Canada.

love,
chelle
