BBC articles are worthless. Like so many other leftist media corporations have done, they shut down their comments section so that only their own far left viewpoint can be consumed

Every subject is "settled science" now, and there shall be no debate

Well now that they are all dead it should be pretty easy to go and verify, or are we just going to take the military's word for it?
Hitler told everyone that the russians were defeated.
Wastemoreland told the six oclock news the nva and the viet cong were defeated.
The newspaper said tha dewy beat truman.
Weren't we just told about how the syrian airport was destroyed?
I have been lied to before.

hysterical snow flake boscox Have they shut down the comments sections let me look, not that I ever participated on them. I can see six "chosen" stories you can comment on - so it would appear they are severely limiting what can be commented on - does that seem correct?

Fifteen and a half years too late, if you ask me (and you didn't). The time to drop this bastard would have been DEC of '01 when that goat-fucker, Bin Laden was hiding in Tora Bora.

Michael

Yes, but that is like saying we have used F-86s at Pearl, they didn't exist yet.

The bomb was designed in 2002 and produced and in service in 2003.

So, yep. Didn't exit in 2001 but definitely did shortly thereafter.

I'm answering both of you folks in one fell swoop:

The penchant (and, probably necessity) our government has for keeping secrets, I believe this thing was developed long before '03 (when we went public with it). As an example: I know we had operational prototype stealth fighters in 1982 which was long before the public found out about them in Desert Storm ('91).

300 million dollar bomb.
11 ton blast, so large you can actually see the high pressure shock wave travel out.
The thing has a minimum safe distance of over a mile.
US Military is saying they killed some 36 hostiles.
but it is hard to say honestly because with a blast like that, it doesn't exactly leave neat bodies for counting.
Not to mention the untold psychological effects on others...
When we used Daisy Cutters in the gulf conflicts, we actually gave a couple of British soldiers PTSD accidentally because they genuinely thought we where dropping nukes...

Wow. That was a big blast.

Wow...the grass grew back in that crater amazingly fast.

Especially for a bomb that explodes in the air and works by changing air pressure . . .

Yes we do keep things a secret. However we were thinking "fuel bombs at the turn of the century.
