In fact your position would invalidate most of the constitution. It, for example prohibits the use of torture to gain confessions bit it does not mention truth serum or lie detectors. The musket was considered state of the art at the time. Finnaly they argued that civilians should a have access to the same tech as the military.

This was clearly a typo as I was drawing a parallel with first amendnent orotections. BTW his contention that the 2nd only counted for things invented by the end of the 18th century reached the supreme court last year because of a rulling bt the supreme court of the Peoples Republic of Mass. They ruled that stun guns didn't have protectin under the 2nd an were virtually laughed ot of the US Supreme court.

And when their military service ends, they have no further access to firearms. Cuba has astonishingly low levels of gun violence because they have an astonishingly low number of guns in the civilian population. Period. If you want to pretend otherwise, you're just a fucking mental patient.

The insrease in crime in those cities was largely due not toguns , or intirely due to the lack of them. It was due to the drug fueled gangs. Go after the drug fueled gangs if you want to fight crime. Between the passage of their ban and 99 crime had doubled, even the city lawyers admitted this. in 88, which was 20 years before Heller crime was still way above the rates in the 70's when the ban was passed. I and others have cited all of this repeatedly so you look it up for youself, and use a source that is better than bloomberg. Clearlly you get your information from sources like him and the Brady bunch who lie all the time. Did you see where a recent study showes that over 60% of murders take place in 5 counties all with tight gun control, or don't you pay attention to anything that doesn't just repeat the same anti gun propaganda?

There were 23 studies o the effects of ccws on crime rates. 20 said that there was a distinct , not huge but distinct, drop in crime from these laws. 2 said there was not real effect from them. 1 said they resulted in a crime increase. 22 were submitted for review giving the sources for their data and detailing methods used for their conclusions. 1 refused to submit any information on their sources or their methods. That study came from the Brady bunch and was the only one that agreed with you.
