Or he may feel he has to do something in order to 'prove it' because he thinks his people may expect it of them and it may be dangerous to let them down in this.

Haven't we been told that his people think what he tells them to think?

Seriously though; the North Koreans I met and observed are brainwashed to the degree that they
firmly believe they are the superior beings on this ball of mud.

Just like amerikans.

They have the strongest military, the most intelligent scholars,

the finest leaders and a country akin to paradise. Try convincing them otherwise and it's like
talking to realone or respectmen.

In this regard would not bamad sanity & his bitch, bounty, et all fit as well also?

Crazy people have to be watched.

We watch you....more for the entertainment aspect rather than any actual danger to society you might pose.

You may well be right. There is a good chance that he believes that if they do something spectacular we
will just give up. Ten he could take over the South and nobody would oppose him.

China has all but abandoned him, thanks to Trump. He is like the weak, defenseless bully who has a bigger friend behind him. How tough does he think he is when he is caught alone

He may continue to talk big, but inside he is scared shitless.

I think he suffers from a serious case of self delusion, not to mention being a egomaniac so expecting him to do anything rational may be to much to expect. Some people get more violent when scared, and the more scared they are the more violent they get.

But the Japanese 70 years ago were 100 times more competent than today's N. Korea.

What makes you think that?

First off, I meant to say 77 years ago, not 70. I thought I fixed it in editing but it didn't work out.

Close enough...exact date is not relevant to this discussion.

Speak honestly:

I always do.

Do you think N. Korea of today would have any chance of pulling off a Pearl Harbor

You make the erroneous assumption that pearl harbor was a success for the japs. It was not.

? Today? Next week? And kick the US' ass for the year following like the Japanese did?

The japs did not kick anyone's ass. A careful reading of what happened will show that.

Do you have information to share with us that NK's army and air force and navy of today could do battle with what Japan had in
1941? Especially as regards quality of the fighting men?

It is pretty well documented that the amerikan/u.n. forces did not fare well against the n.k. during the korean war.
I have posted two citations where the amerikan navy recently got it's ass handed to it by so called 'inferior' technology.

And consider another important thing; the Japanese saw industrial might as result of their government and experienced it
firsthand.

The 'industrial might' of amerika had nothing to do with the surrender of japan. You might want to read "racing the enemy"

ISBN-13: 978-0674022416
It is also available in pdf by going to google to save you a few bucks and time.

All the N. Korean citizens see as 'proof' of anything here 72 years later is just some stupid juvenile fat face.

You are a pretty smart guy....using that sort of rhetoric is beneath you.

The Japanese fought to the end.

Not according to the history books.
When faced with marines that was usually the case....but then the marines had a reputation (according to the japs) of eating prisoners alive.
The re-conquest of the phillipines was an army operation and quite a few japs surrendered.

In the event of war today, the N. Korean citizens would see the opportunity and turn to almost anybody else after two months
, three at most.

That is what richard bissel said about the Cubans...the bay of pigs was the result of his belief in his own propaganda. Hitler suffered the
same problems from believing his own propaganda.

The Sad Truths of Internet Trolls:

1. Serious trolls are immune to criticism and logical arguments. True trolls cannot be reasoned with, regardless of how sound your logical argument is.
2. Serious trolls do not feel remorse like you and me. They have sociopathic tendencies, and accordingly, they delight in other people having hurt feelings.
3. Trolls, in general, consider themselves separate from the social order.
4. Trolls do not abide by etiquette or the rules of common courtesy.
5. Trolls consider themselves above social responsibility.
6. Trolls gain energy by you insulting them.
7. Trolls gain energy when you get angry.
8. The only way to deal with an online troll is to ignore him, or take away his ability to post online.

Why Do People Enjoy Being Internet Trolls?

Ans: it is a kind of power rush or ego trip to be a troll. Being online is a place that is largely free of perceived consequences... an insecure person can get a sense of power online, without ever having to face someone directly. With the Internet being a world of imagination and fantasy for some, cowardly users can forge an alter ego for themselves, and act out their feelings of anger and inadequacy. It's sad and unfortunate that our advanced communications also brings out the darker side of many people.

War is very possible - I see that - inevitable in this instance. More likely a quick strike, and that's all I think it would take. But there will always be a cost...not like the middle east etc.

And, though I doubt he reads this site, you just fed the N Korean delusion that if they attack us we will blame Trump and let them get away with it.
BTW you are wrong.

What makes you think that?

Well, we had to shoot Zeros to bring them down. They didn't explode on takeoff.

Trump and Kim are basically two of a kind. That's why Kim and Putin were the only national leaders around the world to speak well of Trump during the campaign. Oh - besides the Filipino demagogue-dictator Dutarte, also a Trump clone.

That should have given people a clue. But of course his voters are dumber than a bag of rocks, so clues aren't their forte.
