The US sends an air craft carrier in response to missle tests. And pretends to send more (and gets caught in the lie/stupidity).

Japan sends two more. Australia might.

N. Korea says it will take them out with their missles. In single strikes.

China says slow down. Russia wants to lead the East.

The US doesn't appear to know what it's doing beyond saber rattling and a legimate concern about N. Korea's growing strike capacity (including allies and the US itself). China is concerned about its own security, and N. Korea is a buffer. So is control of the S. China Sea.

It would of course be a stupid and destructive was whoever starts it.

Are we headed there?

And will Trump get tutoring in Asian history?

Or is it all a lot of noise while Washington plots the next heist of its kleptocracy?

I read an article about the N Koreans saying they would take out the carrier with a single strike.
According to the article, it was on page 2 of the official NK newspaper.
On page 1 and 2 was a 2 page article about Kim visiting a pig farm. The symbolism was THERE.

An excellent book about the subject of war is, "War is a Racket," by General Smedley Butler. Who profits from war? Bankers, attorneys, politicians, and the corporations that build everything for war. End of story.

I reject as far too cynical, and also bordering on naïve, that we'd think wars are started and fought primarily for anyone's bottom line.

A lot of people would find that sentiment itself naive.

Who among the "commoners" says "let's go start a war!"

Oil, tin & tungsten (Vietnam), control of global shipping routes . . .

Not to mention the fortune the US makes selling arms to both sides of conflicts.

Is that because you can't afford gramp's book? It is mostly pictures and no really big words.
I got a simple question for you dumbass. If you watched the movie 'shindlers list' try to remember what product shindler made. Now ask someone who has actually been in the amerikan military what an amerikan mess kit is made of?
Jesus you are phoquing stupid.

Obviously you never had access to a history book written for someone beyond the fifth grade.
What was the purpose of the war with the 'barbary pirates'? We had a deal and welched on it to make a few bux.
War of 1812? We had a deal "treaty of paris" and we welched on it to make a few bux?
Wars with the native amerikans...steal their shit and phoque their women.
War with mexico...stole half of their country.
War with spain...stole half of their country.
See a patern here dumbass?
Jesus you are phoquing stupid.

This war, though, seems more about ego.

ONLY when Republicans are president, though

Wars don't even exist when Democrats are president

And giving billions to our enemy when a Democrat is president, allowing that same enemy to develop nuclear tipped missiles... Turning the ME over to Islamic State, selling Russia our uranium as Secretary of State, not answering that 3:00 a.m. phone call as our ambassador is being burned and tortured to death etc etc etc etc, "is the right thing to do"

I am pretty sure polk was a democrat as was wilson, Roosevelt and truman.

And giving billions to our enemy when a Democrat is president,

You mean giving back the money we stole?

allowing that same enemy to develop nuclear tipped missiles...

Cite please.

Turning the ME over to Islamic State,

When did the m.e. become part of amerika?

selling Russia our uranium as Secretary of State,

Cite please.

Occupational safety hazard. That is why they get the big bux and the corner office.

Maybe they could settle the matter with a pie eating contest between el presidente and Kim Jong Un? It'd be more entertaining to watch than a military engagement, and the curry turd stinking up the white house might actually have a shot at winning that, which will soothe his increasingly battered ego a little.

Reality check on aisle four...which of the two egos is the most fragile?

A direct competition between the two would be a good way of confirming which one is, I'd have thought.
(For what it's worth, though, somebody who's insisting that he did too get a bigger turn out for his swearing in than Obama but the press lied about it and was still whining about being cheated out of an Emmy on the election trail last year probably is a bit more fragile than somebody who at least stopped wearing those stupid military uniforms when he got too fat to squeeze into one of them...)

I agree and I would pay as much as ten bux for a ticket somewhere in the first ten rows.

So what sort of odds do you think vegas would put on this? My money would be on dumb don by maybe a furlong or two.

You're betting on him winning the contest, or proving the more narcissistic and insecure egoist of the two?

Unless the pies are 'kim che pies' it is dumb don out in front on both. Now if the pies are 'kim che pies' the short guy may have a chance on the back stretch where he may be able to close the gap (due to his familiarity with the product) that dumb don will have gained because of his size advantage at the gate.
