Well, we live in different regions, so we might either say or hear it differently.
In the land of Grateful Dead and Phish, etc, it's "wherever you go, there you are."
I just take an hour's drive up to South Carolina, and it's "Wherever you're at, . . . 'ere ya go!"
So there you go. Different dialects, just to say that we are all perfectly in place, no matter what.
