So they want all cash and contributions and stick it in one big fund - is this correct?
Seems to make sense to me

Dearest, most corrupt health system in the world has America, and most of them are too dumb and prejudiced to realise this.

See if i can dig out how utterly pathetic they truly are

The US is by far the most expensive place in the world to give birth or to receive any medical treatment as there is no publicly financed health services as in most developed countries.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-31052665 read or dont read like i care ;)

Have you ever considered decorating the inside of your toilet bowl with American flag decals?

WickedsDesire -> RE: Cal SB 562 - Universal Health Care (4/29/2017 9:31:58 AM)

It is what it is a fuking disgrace as is the way most Americans perceive the cost burden-onus placed on them. if you wish me to dig out clips of what the mad lying fuk said about it - happy to do so - he had no plan, no strategy, no replacement for obamacare - just his usual hollow lying fuk rhetoric

UK - problem is that it’s probably covertly about half way privatised and without going into what party wrecked it the most or sets it back decades. If it needs 3% investment in real terms it will get 0-2%. We spend less of our GDP on it than many comparable EU nations

decal?

Actually was it Thatcher Tory Scum party who introduced the ethos business managers can manage the NHS?

Sound familiar America overlooking he is a corrupt bankrupt lying fuk - he is what he is and was chosen by about 27% of the eligible electorate. Exactly how do you think this will end 27%?

Anyhoos is this happening or not California?

Single payer insurance would be payment to the state, thus both creating a monopoly and putting insurance out of busness within the sttate. I wonder if this might be a RICO violation. I also wonder if the state then would maintain control over the health care decisions of the people, how much pay health care officials and institutions can make within the state, I would consider this does meet the requirements of ACA. Would this include worker comp medical issues since the state is the sole payer? What about elective procedures, where do they fall into the mix?

Not true of course. Germany for example has a single payer health care system and also dozens of insurance companies competing for business and making a profit.

I mean if you read people here, you quickly understand that they believe what they want to and rarely research the merits of an issue.

I mean imagine this if you will, in a so-called 'socialist' country, many companies actually competing for your business and making a profit.

But hey, don't tell anybody, we wouldn't want to ruin their 'capitalist' fantasies.

And as an example of people reading what they want simply to reinforce their partisan prejudices. Calif's economy is one of the best if not the best in the country...4.9% unemployment, did in fact go from a $20 billion deficit to a $7 billion surplus.

Musicmystery -> RE: Cal SB 562 - Universal Health Care (4/29/2017 10:49:51 AM)

Only in America can people watch dozens of countries successfully use single payer for decades and still insist it can't be done.

Nobody ever got a $20 million bonus for wrecking their company. Maybe it was contractual,

Uhm . . .
Okay, it was contractual, well that's different.

So by your reckoning, that means they didn't get the bonus for wrecking the company, because it was contractual. Which if staying with that, means they didn't get the bonus for doing well, either.

The board of directors just threw him the money for the hell of it, because it was contractual. Like I said, lost cause here.

The 'social security tax' as it was called is often divided into two (almost equal) parts.
Half paid by the employee, the other half paid by the employer.
The employer part is not from the employee salary - it is paid by the employer in addition to the employee salary and is not the employees money at all.

You are missing my point. If we call what it cost the employer to employ a worker is
the total amount of money it cost the employer that is the total compensation for the
employee...thus the employee's money and not the employers. How one wishes to
keep the books is what ever it is.

It has nothing to do with how the books are kept. The employee pays Income tax on their salary at a fixed % set by the government. They also pay National Insurance from their salary. The employer also pays National Insurance based on the employees salary. The income tax deduction, the employees National Insurance and the employers National Insurance is all paid to the Government. The employers National Insurance payment is an extra cost to the employer and is added to the salary cost to record the true cost of an employee.

Only in America can people watch dozens of countries successfully use single payer for decades and still insist it can't be done.

I know that wasn't directed at me, but countries have different systems, they seem to do single payer differently, both in kind and in degree, and not all equally well.

The billions of wasted NHS cash no-one wants to mention

So it seems to me that "single payer" isn't the kind of thing where "this is what it is" and nothing else. California will try its plan. Maybe other states will try a different one. All to the good. May the best plan win. But you (not you personally) can't just wave a flag with "single payer" on it and expect people to line up to salute. How? What single player plan? Why that one? Etc.

K.

Musicmystery -> RE: Cal SB 562 - Universal Health Care (4/29/2017 11:28:55 AM)

We agree here.

Not having single payer, similarly, doesn't mean there isn't waste in a particular system.

You want me, your fuking better to pick up a dictionary because you are blithering on about coffee. I will have you birched on the spot and hurled into a volcano full of peckish piranhas and then have a dalek take out your brain poverty – it’s a good aim – flies ball-sack 40 miles away and all that malarkey – I have still to decide on the order for continuity purposes and are you allergic to magma, or lava, forever the humanitarian I am.

You said it now tell me what it means or i will get a dictionary and shove it (deleted the rest)

So its like decaff? Had all the goodness raped out it and aged to its fresh prime of 13 years olde?

guffaws guffaws

Well we all like a good clip The Last Dalek in the Universe - Dalek - Doctor Who - BBC

or do we want the 13 doctor clip?

So how would that work if you are part of the California plan but have a bad accident in say Utah or Florida would you expect the California plan to cover you? That is one thing that is not an issue in the UK. I can treated in any hospital in the UK or see a GP if I am staying away from home.
