I'm not the one who has been making shit up.

You are welcome to provide specifics.

As if I haven't already. But I'm glad to see that you been napping after all. Now go lay down like a good little fellow and stop wandering around in your sleep.

True enough, you haven't already.

Other than that your idea of specifics being unevidenced assertions and imaginative claims and juvenile ranting.

None. If you would get informed you would know those companies were underwater. The real corporate scrapman was Romney.

Only in America can people watch dozens of countries successfully use single payer for decades and still insist it can't be done.

That is because of price gouging and theft via the military budget. Those other countries spend how much on their military ? You know, when the US invades a country, they send thousands of troops and other countries what, a hundred ? How many troops from this "coalition of the willing" were in Iraq ? And whose weapons were they using ?

I will have you birched on the spot and hurled into a volcano full of peckish piranhas and then have a dalek take out your brain poverty – it’s a good aim – flies ball-sack 40 miles away and all that malarkey – I have still to decide on the order for continuity purposes and are you allergic to magma, or lava, forever the humanitarian I am.

You said it now tell me what it means or i will get a dictionary and shove it (deleted the rest)

So its like decaff? Had all the goodness raped out it and aged to its fresh prime of 13 years olde?

guffaws guffaws

Well we all like a good clip The Last Dalek in the Universe - Dalek - Doctor Who - BBC

or do we want the 13 doctor clip?

So how would that work if you are part of the California plan but have a bad accident in say Utah or Florida would you expect the California plan to cover you? That is one thing that is not an issue in the UK. I can treated in any hospital in the UK or see a GP if I am staying away from home.

Good point. Some people actually work in different states than where they live, wheat then ? And what about truck drivers ? Many are out of their home state more than in.

I also wonder what is going to happen when Britain actually does leave the EU. What then ? Right now isn't there some sort of reciprocity or something like that ? I imagine that'll be gone.

Four.

"Trump has filed four business bankruptcies, which Bankruptcy.com says makes Trump the top filer in recent decades. All of them were centered around casinos he used to own in Atlantic City."
http://money.cnn.com/2015/08/31/news/companies/donald-trump-bankruptcy/

1. Trump Taj Mahal, 1991

Trump's first bankruptcy filing was probably the most personally painful for him. To come up with the funds he needed, he sold a 282-foot yacht, as well as the Trump Shuttle, the airline he operated at the time that flew between Washington, D.C., New York and Boston, according to media reports at the time. He had to give up half of his ownership stake in the Trump Taj Mahal, but he did retain control of the property.

2. Trump Castle Associates, 1992

In less than a year he was back in bankruptcy court for his other Atlantic City casinos. This bankruptcy included the Trump Plaza Hotel in New York, the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City as well as the Trump Castle Casino Resort. He gave up half his interest in the New York Plaza to Citibank, but retained his stake in the casinos.

3. Trump Hotel & Casino Resorts, 2004

Trump didn't go back to bankruptcy court again until November 2004, when he filed to shed debt at his various Atlantic City casinos and a riverboat in Indiana. It was another quick trip through bankruptcy court; the company shed $500 million in debt and emerged from bankruptcy the following May. Trump turned over majority control of the company to his bondholders but remained the largest single shareholder, and he once again kept control of the casinos.

4. Trump Entertainment Resorts, 2009

His most recent bankruptcy came in 2009, after the company missed a $53.1 million bond payment. That was pretty much the end of the road for Trump in Atlantic City. While his name remained on three casinos, he resigned from the board and gave up his remaining stake in the company.

If you are typical of people in the UK, maybe it is better you don't have guns. All you got is put downs usually. I see maybe 15 % with any useful content. What are you trying to do, get your post count up so you can get the "condemned" icon ?

freedomdwarf1 -> RE: Cal SB 562 - Universal Health Care (4/29/2017 1:35:31 PM)

This is the very reason why most American half-hearted plans tend to fail miserably.
Classic case is certain gun bans or restrictions - they are only local to the county/state rather than being country-wide and evenly enforced.

I suspect the Californian plan will be the same - not apply outside of the state.
You only need a handful of cases like Susie mentions and there will be cries of "it doesn't work".
Plans like single-payer healthcare have to be implemented on a country-wide basis or they are doomed to failure.

He isn't. Simple as that.

He is a loony haggis-brained Scot with a mahoosive chip on his shoulder who can't find more than half his marbles on a good day.
He makes a lot of non-sensical posts.

He doesn't represent anyone but himself and his cats.

Musicmystery -> RE: Cal SB 562 - Universal Health Care (4/29/2017 1:41:20 PM)

There's no reason the plan can't cover Californians when outside the state, just as the insurance you bought in Arizona covers you when you're in New Mexico.

freedomdwarf1 -> RE: Cal SB 562 - Universal Health Care (4/29/2017 1:45:13 PM)

Insurance is way different to any single-payer system.

Unless all the states come to some sort of reciprocal agreement when it comes to billing, I bet most people caught in that situation will have to pay out first and claim it later from the californian state system.
That defeats the whole purpose of single-payer systems regardless of what flavour system is implemented.

Musicmystery -> RE: Cal SB 562 - Universal Health Care (4/29/2017 1:47:40 PM)

That's ridiculous. It's like saying we can't have single-payer in the US unless the whole world offers it because people travel to other countries.

It might be being reimbursed instead of handled at the treatment site. So what? Insurance does that in many cases already.

But let's say it only applies if you're in California. For most people, most of the time, that will be fine.

Or they'll buy an out-of-state rider if they like/need it.

What happens if a Brit is taken ill while traveling in Germany, or if German who works across the border in France suffers a heart attack on the job? How are things like that handled?
