ORIGINAL: blnymph Qualitative study - qualitative methods Quantitative study - quantitative methods Whether social or other sciences ... This is getting fucking tedious. You clearly have a very poor understanding of the topic at hand. Let's examine your failure: You said: "A quantitative study for "proving" a qualitative theory." You managed to get two things wrong in one with this sentence. Despite claiming to have read the paper, you didn't pick up the fact that the entire purpose of the paper was to examine the unproven general claim that women in power are less inclined to state-level conflict than men. This fact could be gleaned by reading the opening paragraph of the abstract of the paper you claimed to have read, but clearly did not. I quote: "A large scholarship claims that states led by women are less conflictual[sic] than states led by men. However, it is theoretically unclear why female leaders would favor more conciliatory war policies. And, it is empirically challenging to identify the e¤ect of female rule, since women may gain power disproportionately during periods of peace." Second, claiming that women are more peaceful than men - in itself a claim about social psychology - can only be validated or proved through statistical analysis of empirical evidence. A qualitative approach to examining this claim would be unable to validate or disprove it. IE: It wouldn't work. You are clearly a fucking moron. Here's a handy guide to the difference between qualitative and quantitative research: https://www.simplypsychology.org/qualitative-quantitative.html Perhaps when you understand something of the topic, you'll be able to comment intelligently, but it would be phenomenonally unwise to bet on it, since you seem to have great difficulty grasping the simplest of concepts. quote:
Learning what method makes sense for what research purpose is basic undergraduate level. Ah, so you didn't graduate then. Now it all makes sense.
