First as to the claim of mole nukes off the US coasts, considering that radio signals will not travel well through water, these devices would have to be connected by some sort of wire to a floating antenna.

Which would make their location rather obvious.

Well, I don't really believe Russia is doing this but it is theoretically possible they could use a unique audio signal to trigger a bomb from hundreds of miles away.

Still the size of the devices would have to be in the 10's of thousands of megatons, and considering the weight of the largest bomb ever dropped, I would have to ask one question:

How in the fuck would they deploy the damn things without being noticed?

Just to feed the conspiracy I point out that there has been a lot of news lately about Russian spy ships off our coasts. You get a dark moonless night and bombarder doors on the bottom of the ship and viola.

Given the gross tonnage of the Vishnya class vessels the Russian use for such operations, and the way the vessel is laid out, it would not be adequate for the task.

We are talking something along the lines of a very large container ship, with massive cranes, and an open hold to allow the device to be loaded on board.

As to the minimum size of the device, we are talking a yield of 1,114,000 megatons, and when you consider that the largest thermonuclear device every built and detonated weighed 60,000 pounds with a yield of 57 megatons, we are talking a single device or combination of devices in one location that has a total weight of 1,200,000,000 pounds, and that many nuke cores would show up on radiation scanners like that light on top of the Luxor Casino in Vegas, not to mention the ASW aircraft MAD sensors would go apeshit.

Scene, Oval Office, early morning, before coffee.

Security advisor: Mr. President one of our aircraft ASW patrol planes picked up a massive MAD reading off the coast of Maryland. We followed up with a more detailed search and also noted a very high localized radioactive signature.
President Trump: In common terms son
The president takes a big gulp of coffee....

Security Advisor: Well Mr. President, either all of our nuclear powered carriers sank off Maryland last night OR, someone dropped a shit ton of metal containers of high yield nuclear waste OR there is one fucking huge ass nuclear bomb off the coast of Maryland.

President Trump: How big a bomb?

Security Advisor: Big enough to make a 13 mile wide crater about a mile deep and set off a tsunami about 120 feet high.

President Trump spews his coffee all over the security advisor

"Shit, have the FBI seize Obama's house in Chicago, I am issuing an executive order moving the capital of the United States immediately. Fuck, I will sign the damn thing from Air Force one!"

Chances of an air-craft mounted Electronic Warfare System interfering with a radar supplied with 6 megawatts of power? Fucking none. The Russians are full of shit.

Yes, if your claim about the power requirement is true. But maybe it's not. These systems don't appear to work by overpowering the opposing radar. The following is from 2014, and you can bet the technology will only have gotten better since then.

U.S. fighters—have a potential Achilles’ heel, according to a half-dozen current and former Air Force officials. The F-22’s long-range air-to-air missiles might not be able to hit an enemy aircraft, thanks to new enemy radar-jamming techniques...

“We—the U.S.—haven’t been pursuing appropriate methods to counter EA for years,” a senior Air Force official with extensive experience on the F-22 told The Daily Beast. “So, while we are stealthy, we will have a hard time working our way through the EA to target Su-35s and our missiles will have a hard time killing them.”

The problem is that many potential adversaries, such as the Chinese and the Russians, have developed advanced digital radio frequency memory (DRFM) jammers. These jammers, which effectively memorize an incoming radar signal and repeat it back to the sender, seriously hamper the performance of friendly radars.

Worse, these new jammers essentially blind the small radars found onboard air-to-air missiles like the Raytheon AIM-120 AMRAAM, which is the primary long-range weapon for all U.S. and most allied fighter planes.

Excerpted from here.

Maybe. A campaign of dis-infomation seems more likely than a line of secretly deployed weapons on our coast.

After all, Russia is well-known for dis-information.
