Would so much love BLM to be given 3 months or so, to take over the Police Force and see how they gonna handle crime in black neighbourhoods and protect their own black people.
Black people in Oakland, Chicago, Manhattan and other cities tried this by establishing a breakfast program for children and arming men and women for self-defense. Their leaders were jailed or murdered or forced into exile by the FBI and the city police.
Huey Newton was jailed in Oakland on some trumped up charges because he dared to insist upon his Second Amendment rights of self-defense; Bobby Steel was gagged and chained in his chair when he tried to legally defend himself in a Chicago courtroom; and Fred Hampton was murdered in his bed by Chicago police who raided his apartment one morning in December, 1969. Those were only three events involved in a coordinated FBI/J.Edgar Hoover conspiracy called "cointelpro" deliberately aimed at urban blacks and other "subversive" groups.
Ironically, the whole program was exposed when a group of white war protesters broke into FBI headquarters one night in Media, PA.
COINTELPRO (a portmanteau derived from COunter INTELligence PROgram) was a series of covert, and often illegal,[1][2] projects conducted by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) aimed at surveilling, infiltrating, discrediting and disrupting American political organizations.[3]
FBI records show that COINTELPRO resources targeted groups and individuals that the FBI deemed subversive,[4] including anti-Vietnam War organizers, activists of the Civil Rights Movement or Black Power movement (e.g., Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Black Panther Party), feminist organizations, anti-colonial movements (such as Puerto Rican independence groups like the Young Lords), and a variety of organizations that were part of the broader New Left. White supremacist groups, such as the Ku Klux Klan, were also targeted.

You are of course right , the Black Panthers were a group of wonderfull people on a par with Ghandi.
They never claimed that. They were quite vigorous in rejecting Ghandi and MLK Jr. They claimed that the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution gave them the right to arm themselves for self-defense. Imagine! The gall of those darkies wanting to carry weapons. [8|] Next thing you know they will be sending their children to our schools and raping our women. [8|]
