I agree, the democrats need to be better. Don't do what Hilary did with trump and just sit back and let them do what they do, hoping it causes them to loose. Because if they put forward another corporate candidate like Hilary who won't run on an economic platform that is truly democratic, they'll loose. Again. Bernie is the most popular politician in the US, why? Because he has popular ideas that appeal to a lot of people in the US. Hillary and the corporate democrats don't. They run on progressive social issues, but they aren't the important issues facing most Americans, that's why Trump was elected. Trump promised to fix the economic situation of the country, Hilary didn't even see anything worth fixing. While I don't think Trump WILL fix anything (in fact it'll likely be worse), Hilary's hubris was in a lot of ways worse. The democrats need to be primaried, all of them, and replaced with people who will run on an economic platform that isn't neo-liberal in nature. They need to recognize that the system is broken and it needs fixing, not more of the same. Limiting your campaign to social issues and identity politics works in the short term, but over the log term it's a death sentence. Focus on the true issues, not the social issues that only affect a few people..

You mean, they need to be different to the Republicans?

They need to be different period. Same with Republicans, they should be held to a higher standard but since many right wing voters are single issue voters, they'll never have the same kind of push to abolish money in politics and focus on the economics in the same way that you are currently seeing with progressives in the Democratic Party, such as the Justic Democrats. Money corrupts, and so far the democrats have been corrupted to be Republican Lite, and that needs to change if anything is gonna improve.

Single issue voters...like:
Abortion
Environment
Animal rights
Multiculturalism
Pay equity/feminism
On and on, on the left wing.

You say "Single issue voters" and then you name multiple issues.

While we're on the subject, how many Republicans might as well not even run unless they're pro-life? the party bosses basically kick them out.
I daresay that there are a LOT more single issue Republicans.

While I understand that there aren't that many liberals left in office in the U.S., can you name a dozen that are prolife? Don't kid yourself, leftist loonies are all single issue voters.

Well there you go. Tickman first brought this up. Only he accused republicans as the culprits. A a balance, I pointed out what lefty loons do. So, being little thin skinned snowflakes all you've noticed are my balancing comments and totally overlooked what started this issue. There ya go, you have your groups defined and now you know who to hate. It's a good example of what you do.
